Connor-
"Connor, do I have to go to the dance?" Jacob asks as he comes downstairs from their room, I 'm sitting at the bar in our kitchen drinking a glass of water, I give him a sympathetic nod with a quietly laugh.
"Little man, you promised Nikki you would go." I tell him, I'd never met Nikki, but Jacob always talked fondly of her. "You don't want to let her down do you?"
"No," Jacob answers quietly tugging at the collar of his shirt again, "But why do you have to get dressed up so much?"
"You'll understand when you're older." I answer him with a grin, "Come on, I promised Mom I'd take you." I take my keys off the counter and throw a fedora on Jacob's head, "To complete your look."
