You were dead
Empty of everything
Drenched in the color red
But you got back up again
You were empty of life
And you were lying on the floor
You had escaped the strife
But you got up for more
You won't give in
Or stay down on the ground
You won't give in
So in your sorrows you won't drown
They tried to put your face in the mud
And make you a disgrace
When they had you taste blood
You felt you had to put them in their place
You got up for more
And put up a fight
You settled the score
And brought yourself into the sunlight
