I am sitting on the couch waiting for Casey to call.
After a few minutes he calls and I answer "Hey Casey"
"Hey Jane. Are you alright? You seem nervous its just two friends talking"
"Yeah. It's not the talking to you part it's the part that I have something to tell you but I don't know how you will react"
"What is it?"
"Just to let you know you have a choice is how little or much you are involved. I'm pregnant and you're the father".
"That's great news"
"I know it's weird but we can continue to live our separate lives and you can see the child whenever you want"
"I will, do you know what gender our baby is?"
"No, I am only about ten weeks so it is to early to tell"
"Okay then, can you keep me updated on everything. I won't be a major part of your life but I would like to be a minor part if I can"
"It's fine it will be nice for them to know you even if it's only a little bit"
"Do you need me to do anything?"
"No, I'm good"
"Okay then, I'm sorry Jane I have to go now"
"Bye Casey, talk to you later"
(Whispers as hanging up) "Sooner than you think"
