Rachel's pov

I walk out of the bathroom heading to lunch after Finn through that slushy at me. Why does everything he do affect me so much?! As I walk out I see a guy gesturing me to come over.

"Hey you're Rachel Berry right?" He asks

"Yeah why?" I ask

He smiles and says "I'm Kurt Hummel. Mercadez told me that you were new and really nice so you were part of our group" he says while shaking my hand.

"Let me walk you to class" he says

"So I'm just gonna tell you that I'm gay because I know that if I didn't tell you you would be asking yourself everyday so just to clear the air yeah. I'm gay." He says

"Okay" I say giggling. He as right. It was like he was reading my mind.

"So what do you wanna be when you're older?" He asks

"Oh I wanna be on Broadway. I'm from New York actually" I answer

"OMG SAME! I can already tell we're gonna be best friends!" He says happily as we enter the cafeteria.

As soon as we enter my eyes lock with Finn. He is so handsome! He looks at me with sorry eyes and at that moment I just wanna run up to him, hug him, kiss him, and tell him I'm sorry. He even mouths me that he was sorry. Oh god! Kurt notices the tension and clears his throat.

"You like him don't you?!" He whispers to me

"W-what no! I have a boyfriend!" I say as we walk to the table Mercadez, Tina, and Mike are in.

"Oooh who?!" He asks

"Jesse. Jesse St. James. Do you know him?" I ask

"Oh yeah. Him and Finn are always competing for things! Last week they were fighting over the last cookie in lunch" he says as I laugh. I then see Noah walk over to us.

"Hey sis who are these people?" He asks rudely

"These are my friends Noah! And next time be more polite!" I yell at him

"Sorry guys Noah is a real jerk!" I say

"Am not!" He says

"Yeah you are! It's the first day of school and you already slushy me!" Some guy in a wheelchair says.

"You slushied a kid in a wheelchair?!" I ask

"Yes. And my name is Ardy by the way" he says shaking my hand.

"I'm Rachel" I tell him

"Whatever I'm leaving" Noah says walking away. Then I see who he's walking away to. Seriously Finn! Then I see some blonde guy wink at Mercadez. So that's Sam!

"Is that Sam?" I ask

"Yeah" she says

"He's cute" I say

"Yeah and embarrassing!" She says as I laugh. I then see Finn walk by looking at me as I look down.

"Hello gorgeous" says Jesse hugging me from behind

"Hi handsome" I say kissing his cheek while Finn squeezes his hands and Mike and Tina glance at each other.

"So this is the famous Jesse. Hi I'm Kurt. This is Mercadez, Tina, Mike, and Ardy" Kurt says

"It's nice to meet you all" Jesse says sitting next to me, putting his arm around me.

"Hey maybe you guys should come to my house so we can show Rachel, Jesse, and Ardy our book" Tina says
