Chapter 9~Explanations

~Zayn's POV~

"What are you doing here?" I ask stunned he found me. Niall stands in a corner of the room, looking to the scene starting to form in front of him.

"Well, I was searching for you and since you told me you were here the other night, I figured that you would come back. I was right by the way , 'cause I found you." Liam tells me and smiles brightly at the end. 

I guess he really didn't see me in the bathroom today in school. "Go away." I say bluntly, no emotion is showing on my face. Liam's smiles falters when he realizes what I said.

"What?" He asks a bit confused now.

"I said: go away." I repeat my earlier words with the poker face still on my face. The entangled look on Liam's face is almost funny. Almost, but he betrayed me. 

"why?" I shake my head. I really don't want to talk with him now. His snog with Harry is still to fresh on my mind. 

"Because you betrayed me." I say and my voice raises a tinny bit. Liam frowns at my words. "Why would you think that." And there's the question. 

"You thought I wouldn't found, huh. I thought you were my friend, but all you wanted to do in the end is betray me? Make a fool out of me? You're plan isn't going to work, Liam. Tell you're boyfriend that your plan failed. I saw you snogging in the bathroom today, so don't pretend it didn't happen!" I yell, anger now running through my body. 

That's when Liam's eyes widen in shock. "That... you?... That was you in the bathroom? I heard someone, but ... Oh God, no Zayn. I didn't betray you. You're still my best fr..." He tries to say, but I cut him off.

"Don't you dare to say it! These are all lies. You kisses Harry! The one who bullied me for so long! How could you?" 

"No, Zayn, you're still my best friend, but I love Harry!" Liam yells back desperate. "Come on Zayn. Just give me a chance to explain." 

Maybe I should give him a chance. I mean, everyone deserves a chance and I gave Niall a chance too. I nod my head to indicate to go on.

"Thank you." He says before he starts to explain himself. "One month ago, Harry came to me, begging to talk with me. I said he had fife minutes and he started to explain things to me. He told me why he bullies you. He told me he bullies you because he was afraid for his own feelings. He is gay too, like you may know now. He told me he has had feelings for me for almost a year. Thing was, I love him too. I never told you because I was scared for what you would think. I mean, I'm in love with the man who makes your life a living hell. 
That day we became a couple and he promised me never to beat you up again, but when he did it yesterday, I had a fight with him. What you saw in the bathroom, was... you know... Make up sex." His cheeks are red now. "I'm sorry Zayn, that you had to find out things like this. I hope you can forgive me. I really wasn't planning on doing something embarrassing to you. Please, stay my best friend forever." The pleading look in his eyes make him look like a puppy. 

I sigh and look to the ground, making my decision before I look back up in my eyes. "I forgive you, but on one condition." I say and Liam's eyes fill with happiness again.

"Okay, anything for you, Zayn." He says and looks waiting at me.

"Harry needs to apologise to me. I know now why he bullies me, so there's no more reason to continue with it." 

Liam smiles widely. "I can arrange that. Hug?" 

"Hug." I say and we wrap our hands around each other. I didn't notice the glare Niall gave Liam.

We stay like that for a while until Liam speaks up again. "So... Who were you talking to when I came here?" 

My heart drops. Oh dear, what do I have to tell him now?

"It was... uhm..." I start to say, but Liam doen't even give me the chance to say a name.

"Was it a special boy? You're seeing someone secretly, aren't you? Who is he?" The brown eyed lad is now practically bouncing up and down in excitement. 

"No. It was just Niall, remember? My imaginary friend I introduced you to earlier today?" I say. Again, I'm not lying to him. Except for the part that Niall isn't imaginary.

Liam sighs. "Really, Zayn? You're still keeping up with that act?" 

"Hey! He can hear you, you know!" I hear Niall laugh from the corner where he is still standing. I cast a quick smile in his direction before I focus back on Liam.

"I'm sorry and I'm sorry Niall." Liam says, holding his hands up apologetic. "But now serious. Is there a special guy in your life?" Liam asks with a smirk. 

I don't know what to say. I can tell him about Niall. And I mean the whole truth, but I can't because Niall is here too. 

I hesitated for too long. Liam realizes what the silence and the blush on my cheeks mean. 

"AAAAh! I knew it! Who is it!" He screams enthusiastic.

"Well..."
