A/N: So the last chapter sucked. A lot. I started it, was halfway through, then realized I had no idea what I was doing. This chapter will probably suck too. I take no joy in writing it. Trust me. Anyway, thank you to everyone who has stuck with me from the beginning and welcome to all the new people that have started following me. Love you all!

Dean's POV:

I'm sitting on a dock fishing. There's a beer in my hand, the sun is low in the sky and shining off the water. It looks amazing. Everything is quiet. Kristena's lounging by my side, her eyes closed, tanning in the warmth of the sun.

We don't talk or make any sounds. Her breathing is slow and steady, matching the pace of mine. I know that she's sitting in on one of my dreams-as she's prone to do nowadays-but that's alright because she never interfers.

There's a slight sound.

"Cas," she says softly and then is silent.

know something is going on between these two, I just can't figure out what. I mean, Kristy can't actually love him, right?

"What do you want Cas?" I ask.

"There's something I need to speak to you about," Cas says.

"Go ahead," I say.

"Not here. It's not...secure."

"In my head?"

He nods. Kristy laughs.

"Didn't I tell you Dean? You have a leak in your head," she says still laughing.

"Shut up, Kris," I gumble.

She just laughs harder.

"You're head isn't secure. I love that. Sam's gonna laugh his ass off when I tell him."

Cas rattles off and address and tell us to meet him there the next day. And then we wake up. Kristena jumps up about a foot in surprise and accidently knocks me off the bed. I yell out, which wakes Sam who points his gun at me before realizing it's me.

Kristy wipes her hands over her face several times before turning to me.

"Sorry Dean."

I explain what happened to Sam and we head out immediately. Kristy is silent the entire way. She doesn't say a word even when we pull up to the old warehouse that Cas gave us the address to. When we finally do entire, and find the entire place trashed beyond repair, her eyes widen in surprise.

"CAS?" she calls out, her voice echoing.

She frowns, looking confused.

"I can't sense him," she tells us looking worried.

There's slight movement from a pile of toppled wood, steel, and packages.

"Dean, look," Sam points to it.

Then we see Cas. Kristy runs over and helps him to his feet.

"Cas, what happened?" I ask.

But Cas gives me this wierd look and shakes his head.

"Not Castiel. He's gone. I'm Jimmy Novak."

"Gone?" Kristy asks incredulously, "What d'you mean 'gone'?"

"I mean that he's not in my body anymore."

Kristy's POV:

I refuse to work the case any longer. Once Jimmy Novak is safely in the care of my brothers, I take a trip home. Nope. I can't look at Jimmy Novak without seeing Cas. It's just plain awkward. I kissed Castiel while he was in Jimmy Novaks body. That is not comforting.

So once I make it home, I pour myself a drink and sit down at the table. Whiskey has always been my family's answer to everything. Now is no exception.

"What happened?" Dad asks sitting down beside me.

"You'd kill me if I told you," I answer miserably, setting my head down with a thunk on the table top.

"Try me."

"I fell in love with Castiel, angel of the Lord, and now he's vacated his 'vessel' for whatever reason."

There's silence  for several moments and then the telltale sounds of my dad pouring himself a drink and knocking it back.

"Well..." he starts.

I groan.

"Can't anyone be predictable anymore?" I whine, "you're supposed to scream and yell and tell me I'm a fool for falling for an angel."

"You are a fool for falling for an angel," Dad replies, taking another drink of whiskey.

"Thanks," I mutter back.

"But I'm not gonna yell at ya for it."

"Why not?" I ask looking up at him.

"Because the damage is already done. You can't just stop loving someone-even if I yell at ya."

"That's great," I say laying my head on my stacked hands.

He pats my head affectionately.

"Let's go shooting," he says, "that always cheers you up."

I laugh despite myself and follow him to his beat up old car. We drive out to the shooting range and spend hours aiming at targets. Once it gets late and the sun begins to set, it's even more fun because then you can't see what your trying to hit.

I'm having a ton of fun until Dean calls.

"Yeah?" I answer.

"We have a problem."

"And that would be...?"

"Demons kidnapped Jimmy's kid and wife."

I seriously consider shooting myself in the head at that point.

"Are you serious right now?" I ask in disbelief.

My brothers: the genious's.

"Kris, you know I wouldn't be asking unless I was."

I make a face at his tone. Ugh, I hate it when he sounds pathetic.

"Fine. I'll come pull your ass's out of the fire again. Where are you?"

He rattles off the address twice before I have it safely gridlocked into my head.

"I'll be there in an hour," I tell him before hanging up with a sigh.

"Goin' to go save the boys?" Dad asks.

"What else?" I reply, throwing my shotgun in the trunk.

I drive back to the house and dad gets out, telling me to be careful. I nod and then take off out of the driveway, feeling like something very bad is about to happen. The sinking feeling only grows at I come up upon the warehouse that Dean described over the phone. What is it with these guys and warehouses? Why can't we a supernatural showdown somewhere nice? Like, a hotel or something.

I run inside only to find that they've started without me. Demon knife in hand, I take down one, two, three demons. And then silence. I can sense Cas, he's back inside Jimmy Novak's body. But if I thought he was the same, I was sorely mistaken. There's something off, something cold about Cas now that was not as it had once been.

Then I look at Sam. He has blood smeared all over his face-especially his mouth, and his teeth are stained pink when he greets me.

"Hey Kris."

I look down at the dead demon by his feet, understanding dawning on me. That's how he got up all that energy to take down Alastair. He was drinking demon blood. Holy hell...

Cas starts to walk out, his face set.

"Cas," Dean calls.

I'm too amazed by Sam to try and get Cas's attention. But when Dean does, I'm shocked.

"I do not serve man and I don not serve you."

At the last of this, he looks at me, his expression icy and I take a huge step back. Then he's gone. Dean and I exchange glances, and then we look at Sam. What the hell are we gonna do now?
