Becca's P.O.V

"Morning, babe" He jokes, weakly. I open my eyes. I roll to the other side and suddenly find myself nose to nose with Noah.

Our eyes meet. He turns away, probably still hurt from yesterday. I lean over and unwrap his bandage and look inside. It's not as bad as yesterday. I can't believe how I managed not to throw up at the sight of it. "You should stay away from me. You always get hurt because of me. I am your bad luck charm" I sighed, cleaning the scratches.

He places his hand on mine and says, "Maybe I like getting hurt, if it means you're safe." He looks at me, intensely.
I feel my insides melt. My brain and my heart are ripping me in half.

I follow my brain and snort like I'm not impressed. He smiles. "I know you're smitten, babe. One day, I'll make you admit it." He smirks.
"You wish." I shot back, continuing to clean the cut. I carefully bandage it and admire my handwork.

I lift his foot and take off the much abused Aurora band aid. The cut is a now a scab. "My arm hurts." He whines like a kid.
"What can do for ya, honey?" I said, playing along.

"Kiss my arm, preferably my lips. You decide. We both know you're gonna kiss my arm" He replies, daring me.
Take a risk! says my heart. Play it safe! says my brain.
I decide to go with my gut. I Lean over and give him a quick peak on his lips. He looks startled. I smirk and walk into the woods.

After getting two coconuts and a couple bananas. I return and see him swimming in the water. I enter the shelter and organised the food. I placed some coconuts on the table and and bananas in a bag.

I sigh as he enters. "You don't even know me and you're sure you like me?"I mumbled.
"I want to get to know you. Doesn't that count?"He answers, apparently he overheard me.
"What do you even want to know about me?"
"Favourite things, food, colour and music." He asks.
"Books, Burritos, blue and the Beatles." I answer.
"I thought you were a Taylor Swift, kind of girl."He says truthfully.

"How about you?" I ask, ignoring his comment.
"Skateboard, lasagna, red and Rolling stones." He answers.
"Are you just saying Rolling stones to impress me?" I snort.
"Of course not, Rolling stones is legend." He says earnestly.

"What's your favourite book?" I ask.
"The dark knight rises." He answers.
"That's a comic."I sighed.
"Oh okay, If you give a mouse a cookie."
I stare at him.
"What? That was the last time I properly read a book. So what's yours?" He says.

"Clockwork angel." I squeal, unintentionally.
"Oh, you mean the book about Messa and Jill and Wem?" He snorts. I cringe at the names.
"It's Will, Tessa and Jem! Besides how did you know?" I corrected.

"My sister loves these weird, lovey dovey crap." He replies.
"So, you think If you give a mouse a cookie is better?" I snapped.
He shrugs. "Well, yeah." He said.

Soon we were bellowing at the top of our voices about which book was better.
He suddenly kisses me. I feel dizzy and out of control. He quickly pulls away.
"This is the way tough guys win the argument" He beams, pleased with himself.

"First of all, that's cheating and second, we are not done here." I demanded.
"Fine, carry on." He encouraged.
I opened my mouth to continue but I couldn't remember what I was saying.

"That's not fair!" I complained.
"Life's never fair." He jokes, but there is hurt in his eyes.

Why does Noah think so? He's perfect and teachers adore him. Girls and all the guys do, too. Noah is nothing like I thought he was. Maybe I was wrong about him.
