Chapter Forty-Five

“So that Alice told you to get her “something”....” Blie muttered thoughtfully, after listening to the whole of their stories.

“Yes,” Markl nodded.  “And that damn rabbit was supposed to help us... I think....”

“Something... some thing... I think I got it... ” Blie nodded.

“What’s there to get about something?” Jean laughed.

“Dolt, that was a hint in itself,” Blie frowned, flinging her spoon at Jean, hitting him between his eyebrows.

“Freya, translate some and thing,” Blie barked.

“Gam Lith,” Freya stumbled over the words, her pronunciation not as good as Blie’s, but good enough to get the old woman’s point across.”

“You can’t mean she wants them to steal the Gam Lith?” Truman exclaimed.

“You shut it and be nice to my granddaughter!” Blie ordered.

“Sorry for sounding like an ignorant idiot, but what is the Gam Lith?” Joshua asked.

“It’s an old weapon,” Blie said.  “It was locked away by my Gee’s father a long time ago after an incident and since then it has turned to myth... most believe it was destroyed.”

            “Was it?” Jean asked.

“No,” Blie grinned.  “And I happen to know where it is,” she added.

“You’re really going to help us?  I can’t express my gratitude Blie... this means we might have a chance of getting out here alive,” Joshua exclaimed.

“Why of course,” Blie smiled, revealing her pearly white teeth.  “Why wouldn’t I?

“I’m not going to even start naming them,” Truman coughed.

            “Truman!” Karaugh exclaimed.

Freya frowned, whispering a warning to Truman, who was receiving a malicious glare from Blie.

“Ahem,” Blie cleared her throat when Truman went silent.  Only under one condition....”

“Anything we can do,” Joshua said, looking like he was ready to fall asleep at any moment.

“I want you to take me with you, and then to the capital to find my Gee-Gee,” Blie smiled distantly.

“Oh brother....” Karaugh rubbed her temples.  “This is going to be a long trip....” she thought.
