The remainder of that night was a mess; I stormed into Avalanna's room, woke her up and confronted her. The moment she began to babble, I elbowed her jaw, which was when Ross and David reached us, stopping us before I decided to actually hit her properly. And, for the rest of the night, I couldn't stay in campus, so I stayed at Ross'.

The 'attack' was going to cost me today, a lot. We had a meeting with governors regarding me- and they only ever come in for important things. Technically this was, I attacked her; but I'm paranoid, somebody is out to kill me.

I sat outside of David's office, my hand in Ross' as we waited to be called in. The talk inside was hushed, but the timbre of their voices was audible, despite not actually sounding like words.

Avalanna came around the corner, confidently. She stopped before Ross. "Can we talk?"

Ross looked to me. I shrugged. "You're your own person."

"I'll be right back." He kissed my cheek and they moved to a corner. I crossed my arms over my chest and sighed, throwing my head back. The anticipation was eating away at me, along with the guilt. I caught her off guard...but she had it coming.

If it was even her.

But who else would it be?

My attention was picked up by Ross, who gasped from a distance, staring intensely at Ava, who looked close to tears. He prepared to shout something at her, then they exchanged some more words before he came and sat beside me, wiping the sweat that had formed on his hands before grabbing mine and holding it to his chest.

"Your heart is racing, is everything okay?"

"Yeah." He sounded too high-pitched- an indication he was lying. I didn't have much time to question him further, as David beckoned us inside. I smiled at the two familiar faces of the governors, Adam and Priscilla, who flashed me a quick smile.

"How do I even begin?" My Dad sighed, then looked at Ross, who got up for a glass of water. Ava decided to look away. "What exactly happened last night- Avalanna first."

"I was just asleep when this crazy fool charged into my room with a gun, accusing me that I was working for I.C.E. and when I didn't reply out of shock, she elbowed me in the mouth-"

"Jaw."

"Close enough." She hissed.

"Right." Adam intervened. "Athena?"

"I arrive at my bedroom door to find the numbers on my door with an atom sign beside it- numbers which stood for elements who's first letters corresponded to Avalanna's nickname, or Ava. I could smell it, but he couldn't- the whole door was covered in lead paint, along with my room, which had other chemicals on my bedsheets that could do permanent damage to me or even kill me if I slept the night in the room. I looked at the numbers again, put two together and it lead me to her. I was livid at this point, so maybe I overreacted, but I wouldn't take back my actions." I said confidently. David and Priscilla nodded to one another, and she stood up.

"And is he here for moral support or is he a witness?"

"Witness." Ross said and she nodded.

"And can you confirm all events from both sides of the argument?"

Ross looked between us both. "Yes."

Adam sighed. "Violence between spies is not to be taken lightly, but, I can see where you're coming from, Athena. But if your situation has come to this extreme then, it's not advised for you to remain here. For not only your safety, but everybody else's."

"Thank you!- wait, what?!" I exclaimed.

"Until your problem is solved, you cannot stay at F.A.S.T.. You're putting the whole organisation in danger." Adam said. "It isn't our fault you did what you did?"

I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat and looked at my boyfriend, who said squat. "You already knew about this."

"I figured it out, but I didn't think they would go ahead with it." He looked away. "I'm sorry-"

"Sign me up on a mission, 3 months or more. The longer the better." I ignored him. Not only were they right, I couldn't stay here any longer, it was heartbreak after heartbreak. "Preferably a suicide mission. L

"Athena, no!" Dad exclaimed.

"It's my choice, I'm the danger, aren't I?" I was crying at this point.

"I just gained my daughter, I'm not going to lose her again!" He raised his voice.

"Do it." I blocked him out completely, and Priscilla printed out the contract I had to sign in case I was caught. I signed it with tears in my eyes.

"You leave to Syria tomorrow. There you will 'marry' an important Islamic leader, and at one of their 'meetings', you will set off the bomb attached to you, killing them and yourself." She explained, handing me the basic idea of what I was expected to do. I nodded, and left the office to pack my bags one last time. This time hopefully for good.

I promise, this isn't the end
