Chapter-24

Everyone went off to work except navya and nandini who were free the day..

Amms went to chacha-chachi's house for the diwali preparations!

Ayaan's school was off that day too!

Nandini had hell of a time with both the children..

She made both of them take a shower,fed both of them,cleaned ayaan's room and then her room and then finally made both of them sleep..

It was 4 so she started to get ready..

Nandini: i hope i can do this! After so long..what if they dont take me? Relax nandini! Aiyappa i hope i get this chance still..

Nandini's phone ringed as she wore the red cardigan on top of her black tops..

Nandini: hello

Manik: kaha ho?

Nandini: ghar pein..getting ready!

Manik: ohh..nervous?

Nandini: no..actually haan..bohot

Manik: nandini relax! You are just going to talk..

Nandini: i know..what if they ask me to sing..i mean after so many days..

Manik: haan toh sing

Nandini: but manik..

Manik: nandini you are excellent at this! Trust me you can do this..

Nandini: hmm..hope so!

Manik: who will stay with the kids?

Nandini: navya..

Manik: ohh okay! Let me know! Best of luck..

Nandini: thanks! Bye love you

Manik: love you too! Bye

Nandini hanged up and then took her bag and went to navya's room

Nandini: navya i am going!

Navya: okay nandu! Best of luck

Nandini: thankyou!

Navya went to nandini's room and sat on the bed beside the kids..

Nandini soon reached college..

She was really nervous and literally shaking and had cold hands..

Nandini got out of the car and started going inside..

Suddenly she heard someone call out for her..it was the voice she wanted and needed the most at that time..

Nandini turned to see manik..

Manik came and stood infront of her..he was breathing heavily..

Nandini: kya hua? Why were u running..

Manik: i had a meeting! Just finished it..thought i would be late

Nandini smiling looked at manik for awhile and then hugged him very tight

Manik: best of luck!

Nandini broke the hug and looked at him

Manik gave her a bunch of rose

Nandini: thankyou manikk!!

Manik: dont be nervous! I will be around

Nandini's smile was just not going from her face..

She kissed his cheek

Nandini: i love you so much!

Manik kissed her cheek too: love you too!

Nandini: bye manik

Manik: bye..

Nandini went inside and straight to the principal's officee

Principal: nandinii!! Come in..

Nandini: hello sir

Principal: congrats! How is your baby?

Nandini: she is fine!

Principal: so how can i help you?

Nandini: sir the classical music tour..you had offered me some months back..

Principal: haan?

Nandini: can i still do that?

Principal: that..but nandini..they already selected the team and have started with the practice..

Nandini: please sir! One chance

Principal: but its a professional group! If you were a part of the classical workshop they would have taken you..but now nandini you have been out of the music world for quite  alot of time

Nandini: i know sir! But this is a very big chance..please just one chance to meet them..

Principal: umm..okay! Lets go meet them and guruji..

Nandini: they are here?

Principal: haan! Audi mein chalo..

Nandini and principal went to the audi

Principal talked to guruji about everything and then finally guruji wanted to meet nandini..

(Guruji is currently the person who play's maddy's grandfather's role in the show)

Guruji: toh tum classical music karti ho?

Nandini: ji..

Guruji: kabse?

Nandini: bachpan sein..actually meri dadi..she is a classical music guru..

Guruji: hmm..jab humne yeh shuru kiya tha tab principal sir ne bataya tha tumhare bare mein..itne dino ka gap..

Nandini: please guruji! Ek moka..

Guruji: thik hain..lets see your skills with sitar..

Nandini went on the stage as everyone sat..

She sat infront of the sitar and closed her eyes

She then finally started playing..

At the end of the performance

Everyone was mesmerized with the performance..

They all clapped for her and appreciated her work alot..

Guruji: yeh sab toh thik hain..magar tum pura time de paoge ismein?

Nandini: guruji mein jitna waqt de sakti hoon..zaroor dungi..music is my passion..and i can do anything..

Guruji: thik hain toh phir you are in! Fill the formss

Nandini smiling: thank you so much!

Guruji: kal submit kar dena phir rehearsel dates saab baad mein bata chal jayega tumhe

Nandini: ji guruji! Thank you so much..

Nandini went outside..

She saw manik and with a big smile went running towards him and jumped in a hug..

Manik: woah..good news??

Nandini: haan manik...

Nandini broke the hug and looked at manik

Nandini: i cant believe this..i performed and they all loved it

Manik kissed her forehead: i amm soo proud of you! I know you could do this.. Congrats

Nandini: thankyou..this was all possible because of you

Manik: no mrs.malhotra! Because of us.. 

Nandini smiled

Manik: chale?

Nandini: chalo..

They headed towards manik's car..
