Chapter 7

Vic's POV:

I rushed home as fast as I could, running up the stairs and locking my door.  My father was waiting for me, I knew it. I closed my eyes and teleported myself down to hell, the familiar sensation of my powers growing stronger overtook me. "Hey, dad whats up?" I said, as I walked towards him, falling into his comfortable chair across from his huge desk. "Victor, human slang isn't acceptable down here, especially towards me. Anyways, from the lack of destruction of my kingdom I can tell things are going well on Earth." He said, not looking up from his desk.

"I met my mate, father. He's beautiful and signs of our attachment are already showing." I said, feeling proud of myself for not messing things up for once. "Good, I'm depending on you to keep your needs under control. If you don't-" I cut him off, not really feeling like hearing his speech again. "Yeah, yeah all will be lost. I get it, can I go back now, I miss Kellin." I said, leaning my head back into the chair. Being this far away from Kellin literally hurts. I can feel it in my chest.

"Not yet, I need to talk to you about your future plans." My father said, putting his pen down and finally looking up at me. "I've told you a thousand times, if its possible I really don't want to run this stupid kingdom. Why don't you just ask Michael to do it? He actually wants to." I sighed, taking my phone out of my pocket. I wonder if I have reception here, I told Kellin I would text him. "Put that thing away, Victor. We don't use those human devices here." My dad scolded me. "I'm texting my mate, dad. If I don't your whole kingdom will be in ruins."

I said sarcastically, not really wanting to be there anymore. I texted Kellin and asked him how work was going. I missed him so much and I saw him twenty minutes ago. I wonder if he missed me as much as I missed him. "Your attitude is really bothering me, but considering my kingdom is in your hands and there isn't really anything I can do, I'll let it slide this time." My father said in an angry tone.

Work is kind of slow, I might get out early because I came in earlier than I usually do. You have any plans for later? I miss you already even though I just saw you... I hope you don't think I'm clingy or something. Kellin texted me back, making me smile. I decided to call him, ignoring my father's protests. I missed him so much, I just needed to hear his voice. "One second, dad. I have some business to attend to." I said with a smirk. "Hey, Kells wanna come over to my place later after work?"

I asked, already knowing his answer would be yes. "Yeah, totally! I'm actually just finishing up at work. Are you home now? I can just come now." Kellin said I completely forgot that your perception of time gets messed up down here. "Um no, I'm not home right now I'm at my office building. The conference call is on a short break. I'll be home soon, just let yourself in." Kellin agreed and I hung up, putting my phone away.

"Looks like I gotta get out of here, I have a hot date waiting for me." I said with a smile. "Hold on just one second, we're not done talking about this." My father said, making me groan in frustration. "Like I said before, after you get your mate to fall in love with you, you need to get back here immediately and start preparing for taking control. Its going to be very stressful, but I know you can handle it."

I stood up and walked towards the door. "I think we can talk about that when the time comes."  My father rolled his eyes, giving up. "Fine, whatever Victor. Just go, I can't deal with you anymore." He sighed, going back to his paperwork. "Yes!" I muttered to myself. Transporting myself that second to my doorstep.

I walked in, smiling at the adorable sight of Kellin, wrapped up in a blanket on my couch. "You definetly know how to make yourself at home." I said with a laugh, causing Kellin to turn around and smile at me. "Sorry I just love your apartment, its so cozy and nice." Kellin said with a smile. I jumped onto the couch next to him.
