"Baby. I need you here by my side" "What's wrong my rose?" Tears flowed from Nosipho's eyes. "I just need you. Can I see you tomorrow?" "Rose you need to focus on the exams" Sizwe said. "Sizwe I want to see you tomorrow after my exam!" "Okay my rose, I'll come to your crib tomorrow at about 11am" 'Thank you. I love you" and she hung up. Nolwazi stared with her hands and on her waist. "Why do you wanna see him?" She asked. "He needs to know that I love him. Through it all" said Nosipho. "But if you love someone then you don't want to hurt them right?" "Right, but Sizwe needs to know" "For goodness sake it's his best friend's baby Nosipho. This is going to come between them" I said. "No! There is no way I'm letting Sizwe raise Teejay's baby, he doesn't deserve that. I am not denying Teejay the chance to be a part of his child's life" Nolwazi sat down. "Do you think he'll ever forgive you for this?" Nosipho clutched her pillow. I brought her a glass of water and put it on the coffee table. "I hope so. I mean true love conquers all right?" "Yea. I guess even in your case" Nolwazi said.

Just then there was a knock on the door. "I'll go get it" I said as I stood up and hurried to the door. Nosipho quickly wiped her tears. "Lesa. Hi, what brings you here?" I asked. "If you let me in, I'll explain" she said. "Sorry, where are my manners, come on in" I gave her a hug. "Ladies" she said to Nolwazi and Nosipho. "Hi, what are you doing here?" Nosipho asked. "Well, I was in the neighborhood so I decided to drop by" Lesa responded. "In the neighborhood? How kind of you to bless us with your presence" Nolwazi rolled her eyes. "You're still a classy b*tch" Lesa mumbled.

Lesa and Nolwazi have never been on good terms. She once tried to come between Sizwe and Nosipho but Nosipho was too blind to see it because Lesa is his "cousin". Nolwazi intervened and they've never liked each other since. "Did I come at a bad time?" Lesa asked. I sat down besides Nosipho, "you should tell her" I said. "Nompi don't even start" Nolwazi shouted. "Uyaz'ukuthi lesfebe will do anything to come between uNosi noSizwe" "Ubani isfebe wena?" Lesa stood up. Nolwazi looked around the room, "you're the only one with dreadlocks in the room". "Can you not do this! Not here, not now, not while I'm pregnant" said Nosipho. Lesa slowly sat down. "Who's baby is it?" "Sizwe's duh! Who else is she dating"  "Nolwazi play far away from me. Go play in the mud or something" "I will mop the floor with those dreadl-" "Could you guys just shut up! This isn't about you. Put your beef aside and focus on the problem at hand. Yekelani ukuzibheka nina" I said. Nosipho was now crying again.

"It just won't be the same between us. A baby can either mend or break a relationship" Nosipho said. Lesa shifted closer. "If it's Sizwe's baby, then why are you so worried? He'll be more than happy to raise it". "That's the thing Lesa. Sizwe doesn't visit so much anymore, when was the last time you saw Sizwe and Nosipho together? He prefers spending time in Jo'burg and that worries me" I said. "Uhm, I should be going, I need to study" Lesa stood up and made her way to the door. "Promise me you won't say a word to anyone tomorrow" Nosipho said. Lesa just smiled, "I promise". "I don't trust her" Nolwazi said as we watched Lesa walk out the door.

I pulled up in the garage and sat in the car for a while. "Would Sizwe ever cheat on her?" I asked myself. Just then Nkosinathi called. "Hi Nkosi" "yea drop the accent its me" Sinothando said. I couldn't stand this girl's guts but I was also afraid of her, what was she capable of? "What do you want?" I asked. "You could be more nicer to me" I imagined the smirk on her face, it irritated me. "I don't have time for this Sinothando" "You should. Nkosinathi invited you and me to dinner with his parents" Why her? Was he interested in me or her? "I can't go out, I'm studying" "aww, well that's a pity, his father was really looking forward to meeting you. I told him a lot about you" I could hear her chuckle. "Urgh, why are you so irritating?" I asked. "You'll need me one day. As for now I'll leave your dress in my spa. You'll thank me one day" I just hung up.

Four hours later my eyes were red from summarising. I needed a break. There were two empty cups of coffee next to me. "This was going to be a long exam season" I said to myself. I heard a knock on my door. "Nompi someone's looking for you" my little sister, Nkanyezi said. "Nkanyezi I don't have time to be meeting with people, tell that person to go away" I responded. "Are you sure?" She asked. "Uhm, whatever I'm coming" I barged out of my room to shout at the intruder. What made it right for this person to interrupt me while studying.
