"Is she always like that?" I asked Andre as we drove home. "How?" He asked. "She likes you too much, she's possessive, yet she's really nice. I don't know where I stand with her Andre" "but she's sweet. Rabs is the nicest person you will ever come across. Sure she might be possessive but she's protecting me, saving me from heartbreaks" I shaked my head. "How does she know that I'm going to break your heart?" I asked. "She doesn't but her instinct is always right. She's nice because she knows you're in my heart" "you're not making any sense but let's drop this" He took a deep breath in and quickly let it out. "You started. Hey I've been wondering, when will I meet your friends?" I tried to sit comfortably before I answered that question. "When we're an item" I said. "But aren't we? That kiss, didn't it mean anything?" "It did, but I need some time to think about this" he pulled up by the gate. "Sometimes you need to think less and do more. Enjoy your week Nompi" I stepped out of the car, went to the driver's window and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll try that. Have a great week Andre"

I walked into the house and heard an unfamiliar voice. I recognized it but I wasn't sure. "I am your ancestor, the spider said to the crocodiles. If you hear some noise in the middle of the night, its just me, dreaming" I slowly crept in. I held my heels in one hand.

I stopped when I saw him. Reading Nkanyezi a story, her favourite, the clever spider. Was I dreaming? I dropped my heels and they made a loud thump. He looked up. So did Nkanyezi. "Nompilo look, Daddy's back" I grabbed her away from him. "What are you doing here you monster!" He looked up and slowly made his way towards me. "Don't come any closer" I said. "Mpilo, it's me" "The very same man who abandoned us when life got good" I shouted. "I didn't abandon you. I still paid for all your expenses, your hair, your trips overseas, your school fees, your clothes everything" he said. "And money is supposed to make us feel better? You and mom try your best to keep me & Nkanyezi busy so that we don't notice that you're never around" he took a step closer, "That's not true! I love you Nompilo, you're still my emperor. I didn't leave because I wanted to but because I had no choice" "You know what I don't wanna hear it, I need to study. Maria please bring me coffee, I'll be in my room" As I stormed up to my room I stopped at the sight of my mother, she heard everything.

"Angazi ukuthi kuzothiwani, wena ukhuluma nobab'wakho kanje. I didn't raise you like that" I stared at her, then at my father. "Your partner in crime, uyamuzwa ukuthi uthini. You didn't raise me mom, and as for being a single parent, did you ever tell me that dad's money was present?" I asked. "Why would I do that? Uyingane wena, you don't deserve to know. Who's that boy who dropped you off?" she asked. "Awu mam'Sono. I don't deserve to know? I guess I also don't deserve to know why wena ungasalali ekhaya, or why ubaba says he left us cause he had no choice? Come to think of it, I don't deserve to know anything kulomndeni, so stay out of my way, I'll stay out of yours" I heard my dad call my name as I made my way up the stairs but I couldn't care less.

Meanwhile Nosipho told Sizwe the truth. "I can't believe you would betray me like that you low class b*tch" he said. "I can't believe you just said that, where do you get the balls?" "The balls? Nosipho you slept with my best friend, and now that bastard is his!" "Shut up you as*hole! You know nothing about carrying a baby or being there for me. I slept with Teejay on Nolwazi's birthday, where were you? You promised to come back home on almost every weekend. But you didn't so who is she?" Nosipho asked. "Who is who?" "That h*e you're screwing! Or should I give you a hint?" Sizwe sat down. "What are you talking about?" "It starts with a D, for the d*ck you didn't have to screw me. Then I think there's e" "Nosipho what ate you talking about?" "I called your bitch, Denise. She told me everything. Your first time on campus, which isn't true cause your first time was with me. Oh she also mentioned her bump" Sizwe fell to his knees. "My rose, I'm sorry. I mean I missed you and she was there for me" he said. "Not only in the lecture hall but also in the bedroom. And she's five months pregnant. You know maybe you weren't mad about me sleeping with Teejay but because you had your own set of sins, your own guilt" "Nosipho you gotta understand-" "Close the door on your way out. My mom's coming home anytime now, so leave. And don't ever call me again"

I guess sometimes you have to let go of the people you love so much because you can't bear the pain anymore. You can't keep on getting hurt by their lying and cheating ways. Turns out Nosipho had known about Sizwe for quite a while now and she deliberately slept with Teejay just to get back at him. The baby wasn't part of the plan.

                                    Author's note
Yoh but these chapters though. Double whammy! Chapter 7 & 8 at the same time. You must know I slept late trying to get these chapters right, plus all this translating, so much work, but I don't mind :). Nosipho should be a Big Brother contestant, playing a game like that. Sizwe represents all those guys who lie and cheat, which girls can't get over. Andre should be my boyfriend. He's muscular, handsome and such a gentleman. Lesa and Nolwazi, no comment. But they made me laugh. Thank you so much for reading guys and voting.
