Chapter 12

I paced back and forth in my room. For the past hour, I had been contemplating and talking to myself. I had a mini discussion in my mind. The main topic was if I should go check in on their practice. I soon made a decision. I was going. Not today or tomorrow but 4 days later. It was part of my strategy. He would expect me the first 2-3 days and probably put up an act whereas he would ignore that stylist. He would probably go back to normal by the 4th day. That was when I could find out his true colours. Plan "Outsmart Hoshi", commence!

I went about my day as per normal. Hoshi would pop in the cafe every now and then but I did not reveal anything on when I would come. The fourth day came and I went back home after work to change and cool off. Going to practice right after work would not cut it. Some time later, I put on a regular T-shirt with a pair of denim shorts and black sneakers. I grabbed whatever was necessary including a hoodie and left the house. I walked to the building, thinking of the different scenarios. How I would prove him wrong. How I would laugh at his cheating face.

I entered the building and went up. I stood at the door and counted to 3 before swinging open the door. Upon doing so, I had accidentally slammed the door in Eun-ji's face. She was on the floor rubbing her nose. I believed it was bleeding. Oops! Surprisingly, Hoshi did not attend to her. He ran up to me and squeezed me in a hug instead.

"Crystal! You actually came! Oh, sorry Eun-Ji didn't see you there. Anyways, I missed you soo much!"

Did he just?.. Eun-ji's nose was freaking bleeding. This better not be an act. I bent down to the girl whose nose I had broken. I apologised and she just swatted me away. She did not even forgive me. She just glared at me before standing up and going somewhere else.

"Thanks for coming. You know, Soonyoung here would not shut up until you came. He was babbling on everyday and every hour about waiting for you. Every night, he even kept talking about you. He said you had pretty eyes which he could not gaze into anymore and whatever not-" DK thanked me but was interrupted by Hoshi dragging him away.

I giggled. I did not expect this. Where were all those hints that he was cheating? I watched the struggle between DK and Hoshi, Then, I noticed a familiar silver necklace. It was half a heart. He seriously still wore it. One of the boys came up to me and told me about a time Eun-ji told him to take it out for their performance but he refused. He flicked her forehead and called her crazy for making him do such a thing. Were all these stories even true? I saw Eun-ji come back to the room seemingly better but more conscious of her nose.

She made attempts to be close to Hoshi but failed. I was internally laughing at all her failed tries. She did not really deserve to be with Hoshi anyways. I then snapped into realisation. I'm not with Hoshi anymore. He's not mine, I'm not his. Urgh! This boy is so sly and smart. He probably staged this shit. Just you wait, I will find a way to penetrate through your plan.

I hung out with some of the guys. They treated me as a friend still although I had broken up with Hoshi. The members I was closest to were Mingyu and Vernon. Sometimes, I would give them ideas for their raps since I was unconsciously good at it. I sat in the corner of the room with Mingyu and Wonwoo and made up some raps or had rap battles. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Eun-ji pull Hoshi out of the room. That girl is frustrating. I shouldn't have apologised for breaking her nose. A few minutes later, I received a call from my colleague, Probably about switching shifts or covering for her. I excused myself and got out the room to answer the call. I went towards the staircase where it was quiet.

"Yeah sure, I can cover for you on Saturday-," I opened the door the door of the staircase to a kissing couple and closed the door instantly on instinct.
