Crystal's POV

Finally, I was able to return to my stylist job and see Hoshi more often.

As for the cafe, after promoting our event concluding the cafe's journey, many people flocked to the cafe to catch a last glimpse of the place. I got a raise in my pay for that too. I also had to perform longer but with the help of some acquaintances and friends, I got through it. Even 10 minutes to closing time, the cafe was packed. Some of our loyal customers expressed their disappointment towards the closing of their place of tranquility.

Even after we had closed down the cafe, fans gathered around me to take pictures. Some of them gave me gifts and thankfully, I could fit them in my bag. I told them I would not be performing anywhere anytime soon but I gave them my social media account username so they could still talk to me and incase I considered performing.

My co-workers gave their last goodbyes to each other, including me. Some of them had decided to work at another cafe so they could carry on their passion. They thanked me for helping them. Although the cafe still closed down in the end, I still managed to extend the number of days it was open. The manager too thanked me and told me she would probably retire and focus on her family.

"Don't forget about me! Your dance partner!" I turned to see Jay with his hands behind his back.

He had a half-hearted smile on his face. I went up to him reflecting his expression on my face,

"Of course I didn't forget you," I reassured him.

"Yeah, I hope we get more opportunities to dance together. You got potential," he mentioned.

"Anyways... I didn't know what you would like but I got you this," he hesitantly showed what he had behind his back all this while.

He brought his hands from behind his back and revealed a bouquet of white and yellow daisies. It was a small bundle of about 5 flowers , neatly arranged. I froze. This was a weird parting gift, coming from someone like him.

"Did you pick these randomly from the park?" I asked with a giggle.

He shook his head seriously.

"I have a friend who is a florist. You like flowers, right?" he nervously asked.

His hands were slightly shaking and he stood up straight with a half-awkward smile.

"Of course! Flowers are nice! Thank you," I thanked him.

I gently took the flowers from him. He relaxed and sighed in relief when I took it. He lifted up his palm to indicate that was not all. He slid his hand into his back pocket and pulled out a white envelope with my name on it. He gave it to me as well. He instructed me to read it when he was not around, more preferably when I was alone.

"It was nice working with you. I hope I see you around. Perhaps you can appear in one of my Youtube videos," he suggested with a smile.

"Same here. That would be nice. Just hit me up and I'll come by in my free time," I replied, returning the smile.

We both went in for a tight hug. Jay held me there for a little longer before releasing me.

"Let's stay in touch, ok?" he put his hands in his pocket.

I nodded. He turned to leave but I called him back. He looked over his shoulder and slightly turned his body.

"Loosen up, buddy. You are sure to get girls if you are less awkward. Be more confident about yourself. You got this. Next time I see you, I better see you with a girl," I advised him.

"Thanks. I will take up your challenge," he took my advice.

He gave a slight nod and walked on. He had a spring in his step now after that. With my now full backpack, I trudged home. I held the flowers in my hand and kept the envelope.

It was fun while it lasted. The crowd cheering me on and the respect they showed me. It was a warm feeling. I guess this was Hoshi's feeling whenever he performed. It was nerve-wrecking but I knew no matter what, at least someone in the crowd would support me. If not them, then I had my loved ones.

The moment I got home, I headed up to my room. I lightly placed my bag and the flowers on the bed. After a quick shower, I sat on my bed and opened the gifts I received. I received 3 teddy bears, a lot of thank you cards and some other things. I placed them on the table once I was done. I left Jay's flowers and envelope on the bed to read last.

I quickly ran down to place the flowers in a vase after filling it with fresh tap water. Then, I sat on the bed and picked up the envelope. I held it delicately in my hands and stared at it for awhile. My name was written in cursive and the ink was slightly smudged. I slowly peeled the flap so as to not tear the envelope. There were 2 folded pieces of paper, white and yellow. The yellow paper had "READ ME FIRST!" written on it . I laughed softly at it and unfolded it with careful hands.

"Sup Crystal!

You'd be reading this letter first or the surprise would be spoiled. Anyways, I writing this is to thank you for helping the cafe. You really helped us get a lot more customers. You have this charm on stage that attracts others. Perhaps you got it from your boyfriend. Despite the fact you told me you weren't an experienced dancer, your actions proved otherwise. You have a thing for dancing. Then again, you could have gotten it from your boyfriend. Both of you are lucky to have each other. I hope I find a relationship similar to that of you and your boyfriend's.

Thank you for encouraging me and helping me to improve myself. I guess I was born awkward. I can't pick up girls and do not know how to react sometimes. Nonetheless, you helped me out. I am more confident now. Almost as confident as when I'm dancing. I hope I can find a nice girl like you.

To get things straight, no. I did not develop any feelings for you especially since you are taken. I do hope things turn out well between you and your boyfriend though. You guys are meant for each other. I'll wait for your wedding invitation ;)

Thanks for everything. I enjoyed your presence and I appreciate our friendship. Let's stay in contact.

Yours sincerely,

Jay, your dance partner :)"

I smiled down at the paper. He really was not very good with girls. I helped him with it while he helped me in dancing. I folded the paper and exchanged it with the white one.

I unfolded it. I started to read it. I almost dropped the paper after reading the first few sentences.

On the letter, was Jay's name. It was a black and white copy of the original. I jumped up and cheered.

Jay was accepted into the dance school overseas. He had dreamed about it for a few years already. I looked at the bottom of the paper. There was a little scribble at the bottom of the page.

"I MADE IT! Thanks for helping me build my confidence,"

I felt tears well up even more to the point they almost fell from my eyes. I had to admit. Those thank you cards actually had an effect on me. Making an impact to the lives of others made me feel happy and proud to be existing. The workers at the cafe thanked me for extending their experience at the cafe and also for being able to make the manager smile rather than stress over her debts. I stood up from the bed and placed the letters into a box along with the other thank you cards.

I felt appreciated.

A/N: Quite a boring and short chapter, I know. This is because the next part may be longer.
