Chapter 44

The next morning~

I got up and washed up. I recalled last night and expected to see Hoshi up and about in the living room or still sleeping on the sofa. I unlocked and opened the door. I took a step out of the room and almost tripped over something- or someone. I looked down to see Hoshi curled up on the floor, sleeping. I shook my head. He looked like an adorable fragile fluff ball. I crouched down in front of him and poked him. He did not budge. I shook him and he barely showed any signs of waking up.I shook him more violently but he only turned to the other side and fell back asleep. I leaned over.

"Soonyoung, I'm pregnant," I spoke into his ear.

His eyes snapped open. He turned to me and rubbed his eyes.

"Are they twins?" he asked with a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, one boy and one girl," I hid my laughter.

"YES! I'M A FATHER!" he hugged me.

It took a lot of energy to hold back and make sure that not even a peep of laughter escaped. A few seconds later, he released me from the hug. He had a betrayed look on his face.

"Wait.. But we didn't and we're not married. Didn't you kick me out of the room yesterday? YOU TRICKED ME, DIDN'T YOU?! YOU PRANKSTER! DON'T RUN AWAY FROM ME!" he slowly realised I pranked him.

I sped off the moment he did and he chased me around the house. I hopped over the sofa and ran around the table. It took about 15 minutes before I felt tired. I slowed down and ended up in the bedroom. He took the opportunity to catch up to me. He hugged me from behind and tickled me. I fell back on the bed and laughed uncontrollably. He knew exactly where to tickle to torture me.

"Hahaha stop! No! Please, stop! Hahaha!" I pleaded.

He stopped and laid down beside me, tired as well. We caught our breaths, breathing heavily. We looked at each other and laughed.

"That was good morning workout. I'm exhausted," I said in between breaths.

"I've got nothing on today. Let's just go back to sleep," he suggested.

I nodded in agreement. We passed out then and there.

I woke up later but in a different position. Instead of being a distance from him, my face was close to his chest and his arm was around me. I found myself hugging him. I slowly moved his arm away from me but it was heavy and his grip on me was tight. I moved my arm behind me on the table. I felt around until I felt a familiar object. I brought the device to my eye level and checked the time. It was noon. I put it back.

"Soonyoung-ah, it's lunchtime," I shook him.

"What? Already? Can we just stay like this the whole day?" he groaned lazily.

"Yah, but we need to eat. I'm hungry," my stomach rumbled.

"Fine, but we're going back to sleep after lunch," he huffed and slowly got up.

We did exactly that. I quickly prepared a simple lunch. We ate and then headed back to bed. He cuddled me and we fell asleep like that again. We woke up 2 hours later to our phone's ringing. We both got up and answered our call simultaneously.

"Hello?" we both said as we picked up our phones.

"What?! No, I was just sleeping," I replied to Ji Hae.

"I was sleeping the whole day, sorry," Hoshi was still half-asleep.

"Ok, I'll be there in 20 minutes," we both answered to our respective calls.
