Chapter 26: The Plan

Hiccup POV

After all the leaders had been announced I still didn't know who most of them were, I wasn't really listening. Dagur insisted he stay with me "but I would simply prefer it if you would go away now"

"Oh brother..." He started

"Don't call me that" I snapped back at him.

I sat down because I had lost track of where Astrid had got to again. I was deep in thought when the triplets popped up out of nowhere "ye migh wanna listen te this" one of them said while the other two motioned for me to follow.

I followed them down a secret tunnel until they stopped "do you guys use these tunnels often?" I asked.

"Yea for sneakin around or playin hide n seek" one of them giggled. I had no idea which one was who, I went to ask what their names were when I heard them.

"I take it that it worked then" it was Dagur

"Yea bu I don't see wha ye get out of it" it sounded like Merida

"I get to see Hiccup suffer because the 'love of his life' doesn't know who he is or even her own real name and I very much like it that way" he paused "besides if Astrid is here, out of my way Hiccup will be too distracted trying to save her to save his island"

I had finally figured out his plan, get rid of me to attack Berk and since he knew Astrid was the most fierce warrior on all of Berk as well as my girlfriend she would make the perfect distraction.

I was running out of time he would probably attack as soon as he left this island after the party. "Boys, think you can buy me some time, all I need you to do is keep the party going as long as you can?" They all exchanged looks, smiled and replied "awesome, we'll do it"

I ran to tell the others what I had heard and to send Heather, Snotlout and Ruff and Tuff back to Berk to warn them. It wasn't long after they left that Jack and Elsa reappeared with Rapunzel.

"Hiccup" Rapunzel called to me "Astrid is alive because I brought her back, I didn't think it worked but it must have done but I have no idea why she doesn't remember anything" she said in one big breath.

So now I knew why she was alive again but not why she didn't remember anything "by the way, I think we have until the end of the party to save Astrid so we can go back to Berk to defend it from Dagur" I said.

"I'll check for any magic that might be around" Rapunzel started looking

"I'll find Astrid" Elsa walked away

"And I'll make sure you don't do anything stupid" Jack added.
