FAN GIRLS...BRACE YOURSELVES!

------------------------------------------

(Amira's POV)

Damn it I couldn't sleep! My mind was too messed up, it was not allowing me to take a break. Another thing was I find it very...deranged that I have superpowers AND I'm immortal. If you could open my brain, you could've seen armies of thoughts battling over inside. Thinking of it drives me crazy. I think I'm going insane in any minute.

"Ok. Don't panic. Breathe in...breathe out. Take a chill pill and go out. Yeah. I should do that." I talked to myself.

Yep.

I'm crazy.

My room was too far away from my friends and I can't just sneak off my way to their chamber. According to Lord Elrond, it's inappropriate. Certainly, men particularly dwarves, were not used to women revealing too much of their skin. Unless the woman is their lover. It would be...how do I say this? Oh! It would be an indulgence in their eyes and I had no plan of enticing them.

Hopping off my bed, I ran my fingers through my loose hair to entangle some strands then I opened the door quietly.

Wow!

The place was at its most stunningly beautiful scene. Even I couldn't still believe that I'm legitimately in Rivendell. I wonder how it looks in Lothlorien, or better yet, in Mirkwood. I wonder if Legolas...

NO JUST STOP.

"....tomorrow at dawn."

My body stiffened at someone else's voice. Like a flash, I dashed towards the nearest pillar and hid behind it. Thankfully, it was big enough. I took a peek out and saw it was Gandalf-and Thorin. The rhythm of my heart built up faster and faster then I turned around, scared that Thorin might see me or Gandalf might sense my presence.

I looked back and forth, thinking of any possible way to exit this place unnoticed. Shit, that won't work at all.

Their voices were barely audible; I could only hear some faint murmurs. I thought elves have sharp hearings? Oh but then again, I'm a half.

Someone else's footsteps gradually went further and further way from my hearing but it seemed wrong. There should be two pairs of them.

"Reveal yourself." Oh that reminds me of Luke Evans as Zeus in Immortals.

Both of my hands were frozen and I caught my breath. My heart pumped insanely faster than before. I should be dead by now. I find it very hard to 'reveal myself' in front of Thorin.

Guess I don't have an option.

I felt my cheeks turning beet red as he peered at me with astonishment. "Er...hi!" I said brightly.

"What are you up to in this late night, if I may ask?" Thorin walked towards me, a little bemusedly. His eyes darted to my hair, noticing that I've let it down.

"I couldn't sleep." I said truthfully. "I was aimlessly walking around when I found you and Gandalf talking about...something."

"But if you saw us, then there's no purpose of hiding."

"Uh...I-I guess you're right. I uhm, I don't know what has gotten into me." For the love of God, I was bloody fumbling through my words again! I covered my hand behind my back and clenched it in humiliation.
