It had been a couple of minutes since Amy had walked out from the party and Rory found her sat on a bench with Emily.
"Emily can you give us a minute please?" Rory looked down at her.
"Sure" Emily stood up and went back inside.
Rory watched her before looking back at Amy who was looking down at the ground.
"You're having second thoughts about the wedding aren't you?" He sat down next to her.
She slowly looked at him, "yeah, I'm really sorry, Rory".
"Did you even mean it when you said yes to the proposal?"
"Of course I did, and I want to marry you some day, but I guess I'm just a little freaked out by everything happening so fast".
"Okay, that makes sense, so for the time being we take a step back, take things one day at the time, instead of this being an engagement ring, let's make it a promise ring".
"What am I promising?"
"To always be mine and when the time comes and you're ready to get married, you have to propose to me".
"Okay, you have a deal, I promise".
Rory smiled at her and kissed her passionately for a few seconds, "I love you so much".
"I love you too".
