Chapter 9; The Family is All Together

Elaine's POV
We laid on the couch and talked, I told him about Violet, but nothing else, he was so excited to meet her,
"I know I'll love her, cause she's a part of you," he whispered kissing my neck.
I smile down at him, he hugs my waist and pushes his face farther into my shoulder.
He needs to hunt, he seems so weak.
Edward texted me telling me that he was gonna take Violet out to eat she she could eat some regular food and then check into a hotel.
She couldn't be around Carlisle right now.
I didn't talk to him about the darkness or the book. I know I couldn't keep it from him forever but I could feel it getting worst.
I feel like if I was human I would be in a lot of pain right now, but mostly I just kinda felt sick, I felt human. Like a weak human.
I sighed into his hair.
I stretched and he held me tighter, is this how it's going to be from now on?
"I love you so much," i whisper into his hair.
I can feel his smile,
"I love you too babe, never leave me again."
I smile and nod,
We just sit there for a while enjoying each other's presence.

Violet's POV
Uncle Edward and I walk into a hotel after he took me to a really good restaurant. I like him.
"So where have you been all this time?"
He asks once we get to the room.
I lay down on the bed and look up at him, he's sitting on the desk in the corner, hands in his pockets.
"All over the place, James was the one who took me ya know,"
He nods , then looks  kinda sad,
"Did he ever hurt you?"
He asks,
"No,"
I whisper, James knew better, I could destroy him.
"What do you mean by that?"
He asks,
I raise an eyebrow,
"Sorry I didn't think I said that out loud,"
He chuckles,
"You didn't, I thought Lane would have told you, I can read people's minds,"
He explains, I look at him shocked,
"And you didn't think to tell me this before?"
I ask,
He smiles,
"It was to funny listening to how you react to certain things,"
I laugh and roll my eyes,
"Well then, now I know to watch what I think around you."
I say,
"So this must be weird for you, seeing your mom again,"
He states,
I nod,
"Very weird."

Edwards POV
Violet left to go get into her pajamas, I sat in the desk chair reading 'Great Expectations' no matter how many times I read this it's always so amazing.
She walks out of the bathroom in pajama pants and a batman shirt.
She jumps into the bed.
"So you sleep?"
I ask, curious, she nods,
"Yeah, I don't need much sleep but I like to dream so I usually sleep every chance I get."
I laugh and nod.
She lays down facing the ceiling,
I wait for her to say something but she's silent.
I thought she fell asleep and I was about to leave to go hunting when she whisper,
"Victoria is looking for me,"
I raise an eyebrow,
"Why?"
"Cause she knows how powerful I am, she needs it for what she wants to do next,"
She whispers back.
I wanted to know more about her power but I found myself asking,
"What is she going to do next?"
She sits up to look at me and then says,
"She's going after this human girl, I think her name is Isabella,"
I try to react as calmly as possible,
I didn't say anything and soon she fell asleep.

Elaine's POV
I got dressed into a read dress and put on some gold heels,

I walk down to the small living room and see Carlisle is sitting on the couch with a smile on his face,
His eyes are lighter, he must have went hunting.
I walk over and sit down next to him.
He smiles up from the book he was reading,
"Whatcha reading?"
I whisper,
He lifts up the cover to reveal 'The Diary of Anne Frank'
"That's a good read,"
I say, he nods in agreement.
Anything about World War Two interested me.
"You know I was on Germany for most of the forties and some of the fifties,"
He looks at me with a wary expression,
"What was that like?"
He asks,
I shrug, I try not to remember those times.
"People were so inhuman back then, it broke my heart,"
He nods.

Carlisle's POV
Elaine looks amazing in that red dress, we start to talk about the war and I can't believe what she went through in Germany,
"Why did you go there in the first place?"
I ask, she shrugs.
"I had no family left, but I did have some friends most were vampires, some Jewish. I needed to go to help them hide themselves, if they got sent to one of those dreaded camps it would have looked a little off if they survived and no one else did."
I nod,
"Did you help them?"
I ask,
These things always interested me.
"Yes, I managed to hide them for the time they needed, and then they were free to leave."
She says with a said smile,
I pull her closer, setting my book down and kiss her,
"You are so amazing,"
We continued to kiss until we heard the back door open.
Elaine jumped up a little but smiled when she saw who was in the doorway,
"Mom!" Jasper screams,
Elaine smiles at him and then jumps up,
She runs towards him and jumps up and gives him a hug.
He twirls her around and she laughs.
"I missed you so much!"
He cries into her hair.
I smile, Elaine treated my kids like her own,
"I missed you too sweetheart,"
The rest of the family filed in and said their hellos,
It all got really emotional.
The family was finally back together.
