Chapter 14; The Cullen's are Back

Elaine's POV
I open my eyes, my vision is blurry for the first time in a century, soon though it clears up and I see a very worried very shocked Sam.
I sit up a little.
Sam continues to stare at me,
"What?"
I ask,
He doesn't say anything, it's like he's gone into shock.
"Sam. Speak." I say pausing between each word.
"Elaine, your eyes are green,"
He answers,
I am shocked to say the least.
I don't believe him.
I go to stand up and almost fall.
Sam catches me and picks me up bridal style.
I go to protest but he stops me,
"Don't even try, your bleeding I'm not gonna let you walk, especially since your not suppose to be able to bleed."
I couldn't fight with him, he was right.
He carried me all the way to his house and set me down on the back porch steps while he went to get the key to his car.
I still have blood on my face I hear the door open and look to see a weary looking Emily.
She sits down next to me. I don't know what to do, I haven't talked to her since Jake told me Sam was in love with me.
Now I'm sitting on the woman's back porch.
I always thought the next time I saw her she would be mad but when she sees the blood on my face and my green eyes looking towards her, she looks more concerned,
"Elaine, is that you?"
She asks, I nod,
"I know the eyes and the blood are a little misleading."
I answer,
"It's not that, you look so different,"
She says in awe.
I raise an eyebrow.
She pulls out a mirror from the purse she had sitting at her side.
I look I the mirror and gasp. I look almost like I did when I was human, but with a more polished touch. 
Like I'm still kinda a vampire but not. It kinda reminds me of Violet.
I hand her back the mirror and look towards the garage where same is pulling the car out,
"Before you go,"
I hear Emily say,
"Please know that I have nothing against you, you are so kind to me, as I hear you are to everyone, please feel free to come by anytime."
I smile at her,
She's so amazing.
"Thank you. I think that you and me are going to be very good friends, but I don't think I will be coming over here that often. Just know that if you ever need to get away from these mangy boys my door is open also."
She nods,
I stand up being able to walk by myself now,
Sam pulls up right in from of me, as I'm walking to the passenger side I hear Emily say,
"Maybe I'll take you up on that offer."
I get into the car and strap myself in.
I smile at Emily as we drive past and then look out my window.
Sam drives silently for a little bit then he says,
"What's wrong with you?"
I look at him and he looks at me with concern and a little bit of anger on his face,
"I told you, I died, when I came back , I was different, basically I guess I'm turning back into a human,"
I don't know why I was telling him all this.
"Is that bad?"
He asks getting hopeful.
I shrug,
"It's not good," I murmur.
Finally we make it to Bella's. I am about to get out when Sam stops me.
"Listen Elaine, I don't want you to think that you have to do anything for me, I just want you to know that I'm here for you, if everything goes south."
He says looking at me with those puppy dog eyes.
Huh, that's ironic, puppy dog eyes.
I just give him a nod.
Then I jump out, I look around the cold night, shivering.
I haven't even bothered to clean my face yet so the blood is still proudly displayed on it.

Carlisle's POV
Alice and I came as soon as she saw Bella jumping off the cliff.
I came to make sure that Elaine is okay, I left Violet with Rose and Emmett.
Alice told Jasper to stay behind just in case Edwards comes back.
Bella walks in as Alice is standing behind the door.
"Bella?"
She says, Bella jumps.
"Alice! Your here!"
Bella screams as she jumps on Alice.
I smile,
"Do you mind telling me how your alive?"
Alice asks.
"What do you mean?"
"I saw you jump off a cliff, why would you try and kill yourself? What about Charlie what about E-"
Bella interrupts her.
"I wasn't trying to kill myself, I was cliff diving it was suppose to be fun, "
She explains,
Since when has Bella been into sports?
"Oh, well I didn't see anyone pull you out,"
"You didn't tell him? I mean-"
"No, he only checks in a couple times a month, he wants to be alone."
"Are you the only one here?"
She asks,
That's when I decide to make my presence known.
"Just Alice and me,"
I say smiling as I walk over to them,
"Carlisle," she smiles.
"Eliane will be so excited!"
She squeals, then her eyes widen,
She pulls out her phone and looks at it,
"What is it?"
Alice asks,
"Elaine was suppose to be here by now, she said she would come over later and it's almost ten!"
She says in a worried voice.
I pull out my own phone and dial Elaine's number,
I here ringing but then the front door opens.
I drop my phone when I see who it is,
Elaine, but she looks so different, somehow I just know it's her.
She has blood all over her face, but when I smell it I can tell that it's inside of her too.
"Elaine?"
I say,
She smiles and runs over to me,
I wrap my arms around her,
Her blood is so strong.
We need to talk.
