Blog Update

Nope.

Hindi napaikot ng isang kapirasong tissue paper ang buhay ko.

Not even the tiniest detail of my attitude was swayed by it.

Surely, when I saw the word written on it, I marked it interesting and eye-candy.

ORMR.

It was written in Runes, an ancient script almost considered as a dead language. I used it to write some of my notes, kaya walang naglakas-loob na manghiram sa 'kin ng notebook. Not that I had friends, though.

At first, I thought it was an acronym, but I was sure I wasn't a bloody detective to figure it out so I wholeheartedly assumed that it's from the Old Norse Ormr, meaning snake or dragon... or worm, by any chance.

I was being haunted by the mighty tissue dragon for almost a week when I decided to make a move and that move changed my life.

Just nope. Hindi mo napaikot ang buhay ko.

At sa susunod, isama mo na 'yung meal. Hindi 'yong tissue lang ang iniiwan mo. You know who I am, and I'm sure we'll meet again.

See you soon.

FRIDAY THE 13TH. Great.

Even before I had the chance to leave, I got stuck in a library with four potential killers. As if my day didn't start bad enough. Or as if my week wasn't awful enough.

Flashback to last week, I found a tissue paper from KFC with the word ORMR written on it in a very bright red ink. Hindi ko pinansin.

Now until a few hours ago, that was my only dilemma. Isang panibagong tissue paper ng KFC ang nakita ko sa ilalim ng laptop ko nang umalis ako sa kinauupuan ko para manghiram ng libro sa counter. The second time, ULFR was written on it. Same red ink, same Runic script. It gave just the same level of anxiety as the last one.

The entire tissue-and-runes issue made me anxious, paranoid, and very, very vulnerable. It was clearly bullying, and I wanted to talk to a lawyer.

ULFR, the Old Norse for wolf.

ORMR and ULFR.

I had a tissue snake and a tissue wolf, so I assumed that I was equipped to embark on a tissue paper journey across the entire tissue paper universe to defeat the evil tissue king who destroyed the tissue paper kingdom. Hurray—
