Later in the day Bucky had made his was to the gym in the tower.

He was surprised to see Natasha down there before him.

He decided to talk to her.

"Hey", he said to her.

Natasha jumped slightly at the sound of his voice but quickly turned to face him.

"Hey", she relied.

James smiled for a few seconds before speaking again.

"I don't suppose you want to spar together, do you?", he asked.

Natasha smiled.

She thought back to all the times herself and James had sparred together before.

They used to learn each other's moves and have friendly fights for hours before moving away for the sparring mat and being together some place else.

"I'm actually about to go get a shower but maybe another time", she told him.

Bucky smiled.

"Okay", he agreed and watched her begin to leave.

"Natasha", he called after her.

She turned to face him.

"Yea", she replied.

"We're you there when they took me?"

Natasha froze.

The night when Hydra took Bucky from her had haunted her for years.

She never forgot.

She never stopped blaming herself.

"I searched for you", she said quietly.

James looked at her and smiled.

"We were close, weren't we?"

Natasha shrugged.

She couldn't tell his everything, not yet.

"You were my best friend", she told him.

My only friend.

Bucky smiled.

"I should let you go", he told her.

Natasha looked at him for a few seconds and shrugged.

"Maybe we could spar first instead?"

Bucky smiled and nodded.
