Losing Purpose

Snowflakes falling on a summer night,

fireflies have lost their light.

The birds cannot sing their sweet melody,

waves no longer crash onto the shore.

The sun radiates depression,

flowers grow with the help of pills.

Butterflies walk on two legs,

the moon is too insecure to come out anymore.

Clocks can't remember the time,

pens forgot to pack ink in their backpacks.

Doorknobs don't know which way to turn,

keys forgot how to unlock.

Books can't remember how the story goes,

cats no longer meow.

A twisted world,

full of confused objects and insane logic.

Normal? Such a foreign concept.

Try telling the microwave to cook

and see how fast it responds with

a very limited reaction:

I don't remember how.
