•Callie's POV•

The sun hadn't quite risen yet, so Abby and I were using our werewolf sight to help as we run through the forest.

"Where did they say they saw the trap?" She mind-links me.

"North of the town, close to the boundary." I reply, glancing over to her wolf.

She nods her head and we keep going.

As we get closer something catches my eye and I stop, causing Abby to as well.

"What is it?" She asks.

"Just a sec." I reply.

I approach the spot I saw slowly and the smell of blood and something raw catches my attention.

I round a large tree and see a large chuck of meat sitting in the open.

"Well?" Abby asks.

"It's bait." I reply.

She comes over, "For what though? They wouldn't just leave a chunk of meat in the open would they?"

I scan the area with my eyes, "Unless there's not actually a trap."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean," I say as I start moving around a little, "Maybe it's to lure us in."

"You think they're watching us?" She asks.

I shake my head, "We'd be able to sense them, wouldn't we?"

"Unless..." Abby trails off and start to walk over to the meat.

"What are you doing?" I ask and start to follow her.

"Stay here, let me just check something."

I stop and watch, interested.

She hesitantly walks over to the meat, "There's definitely no trap."

I mentally frown, "Then what do they want?"

She moves her wolfy head around to scan the area and she stops when she looks at the large tree we went around.

"Oh no." She says, "I think I know what they're doing."

I look up to where she's looking and see what she's talking about.

There, hidden in the tree leaves was a security camera.

And it was pointing right at me.

"Shit." I say and quickly jump out of it's view.

'It saw us Callie!' Sky says.

"This is bad, very bad." Abby says.

"It's got me on there Abby! In my tiger form." I say and start pacing.

"Okay, okay, calm down. Lets think about this." She says.

I quickly jump up the tree and steady myself on a large branch before I leap and attack the camera, ripping it off it's hold, making it smash to the ground.

I jump down after it.

"Okay, that's not thinking, that's acting. They are two very different things Callie" Abby says.

"What else was I supposed to do?" I ask, panicking.

"Well, you could have listened to me, but that obviously wasn't an option for you." She says.
