"Pllleeeeeaaaaassseeeee Kaaanneeekkkkiiiiii!"
Hide had been begging Kaneki to give him advice in how to get a date.
"Hide I already told you I don't know! I'm not in a relationship!"
Said Kaneki.
"But you got that date with Rize-san! Even if it ended with a...*ahem*...splat."
Kaneki glared at his orange-haired friend. Even if Rize had tried to eat him her had to pretend to be upset about it. He could not let Hide know what really happened so he needed to keep up the act.
"That's not funny Hide. She's dead."
Hide fell for it.
"Okay I'm sorry dude. Anyway, do you think if I asked out the new girl she would agree to go on a date with me?"
Kaneki snickered.
"Not a chance."
Hide jokingly punched his raven haired friend in the arm.
"Hey!"
They laugh.
"It's worth a try I guess."
Kaneki noticed the time on his watch and gasped.
"I'm gonna be late for work!"
He starts to run ahead as Hide shouts after him.
"OKAY ILL SEE YA LATER BUDDY!"
Kaneki arrived at Anteiku. The only people in there are Touka, Yoriko and the gourmet ghoul Tsukiyama.
"You're late!"hissed Touka.
"S-sorry..."
"Oh Touka-chan, lighten up! At least it's not too busy today!"said Yoriko
"Where's everyone else, Touka?"
Asks Kaneki.
"They went with the manager to...settle something..."replied Touka.
"Why don't you relax with me for a while, Kaneki-kun?" Asks Tsukiyama from the corner of the coffee shop.
Touka and Yoriko were too busy gossiping to care what Kaneki did so be decided to sit with the purple haired ghoul.
They talked together for a while. Only 3 customers came into Anteiku the whole time. Yoriko left, leaving Touka serving alone. She kept shooting nasty looks at Tsukiyama who would always be in deep conversation with Kaneki.
Tsukiyama began telling Kaneki about the large library at his home.
"That sounds like a dream come true! Having your own library!" Said Kaneki.
Tsukiyama chuckled"you could always come over and see it Kaneki. You're welcome to borrow any books you like!
In fact..."
He looks at the clock on the wall.
"You could come see it right now if you like?"he asks.
Kaneki is taken aback by this sudden offer.
"W-well I would love to but...Touka is serving alone..."
Tsukiyama looks at Touka who is staring at them both.
"I'm sure she won't mind, Kaneki-kun."
He grabs Kanekis hand and leads him to the door.
"Bye Touka-Chan!"
She turns red with anger.
"HEY WHO SAID YOU COULD LEAVE YOU BRAT!?"she yells at Kaneki.
"I DID" replies Tsukiyama jokingly
The door slams behind the two male ghouls, leaving Touka alone in the coffee shop.
