Kaneki knew he was in a really bad situation. The investigators could arrive any second and Tsukiyama only cared about his answer. Kaneki knew they needed to leave, and fast.
"H-Hide is my best friend, we've known each other since we were kids-"
Tsukiyama interrupted him.
"Just friends, Kaneki? Because I big to differ."
Kaneki began to panic.
"What do y-"
He was interrupted again. But this time, not by Tsukiyama.
"HEY!"
A voice slightly muffled by the rain came from behind Tsukiyama. Three ghoul investigators were running at high speed towards them.
They were only seconds away from attacking when Tsukiyama lifted Kaneki into his arms princess style and began to run. The heavy rain felt like bullets on Kanekis' face.
Tsukiyama ran so fast that the next five or so minutes were nothing but a blur through Kanekis' eyes.
He heard Tsukiyama mutter something.
"I think we lost them..."
But just as they thought everything was okay A flash of light blinded them and Kaneki fell out of Tsukiyamas arms and hit his head on the cold hard ground. His vision went black.
