(Dedicated to Knightwriter ,as this poem is a response to one of her poems called Celery and World Peace).

In me life,

I sunk and thunk-ed a lot,

I bunked and crackled,

so much that some may say,

I over cooked me brains

so now when it reigns,

all those words,

they come all out

as a rant, a rave,

an indisputably insufferable

torrent, a storm

of ideologies, idiosyncratic views

that no descent person can believe?

so to overcome this disease

to everyone’s' relief,

I must from this moment on,

breathe in deep and just see

the world of now, and push away them

other thoughts that wish to be the rant, and rave.

I want-a-be, a cucumber-ess,

a very specialist, of salad of greens,

yes that is exactly what I will be.

green, and slim

juicy and livened

up that salad

in that plastic bowl.

yes I went too far down that rabbit hole.

give me red Spanish onion rings,

lettuce hearts, baby capsicums,

and little Herbie things,

to give me a little spice,

or pepper oh and sweet,

tomatoes sliced in wedges,

doused and toasted in olive oil,

and dressed

with feta cheese.

Oh please, and then pass me

around that table of life,

so I can be consumed

by some amazing life form,

a perfect human being

Oh what a dream!

then wash me down

with a southern comfort and cola,

on the ice

so I don't scream,

in that perfect human beans

ear hole.

So that they have no way,

of hearing me ranting and raving

in cu cumbering, cucumber-ess.

Just the answer to laugh away

this verbal diarrhoea.
