Fairy Tail: The Mysterious Girl

And So It Begins...

My bad guys...I wrote 6, but there's actually 8 guilds. I messed up in the last chapter...soooorry ><

They didn't announce the 8 teams that made it through last night's race, but I'm confident that Laxus made it. I walked through the stands in the arena and followed Bixlow to where Fairy Tail was sitting. Normally, only guild members are allowed, but Grandpa Makarov made an exception for me. So I sat comfortably between Bixlow and Fried as we waited to hear the results.

"Hello everyone! We will finally introduce our competitors today!"

Everyone cheered, the crowds anxiously awaited their results.

"In 8th place....Fairy Tail!"

I watched Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy, and Elfman walk toward the center of the arena. Everyone from Fairy Tail was happy to see them, but the audience didn't seem so happy. They booed angrily and yelled terrible insults. I wanted desperately to say something, but I knew I didn't have to. Fairy Tail is a great guild and they're going to prove it to everyone, right here in this stadium.

"In 7th place...Quatro Cerberus! In 6th place...Mermaid Heel! In 5th place...Blue Pegasus!"

Quatro Cerberus walked out confidently with their usual wild four yell. Mermaid Heel was a relatively new guild that was a girls only guild. Blue Pegasus is an old friend of Fairy Tail's and great competition. Everyone made their way to the center of the stadium as the announcer continued to call out the competitors.

"In 4th place...Lamia Scale!"

Lyon, Jura, Yuka, Tobbie, and a strange girl that looked like Shelly walked out and waved to their fans. Even from a distance I could see Gray and Lyon clashing immediately, the competition hasn't even started and they're already fighting.

"In 3rd place...Raven Tail!"

Grandpa Makarov stood up and glared at the next guild that walked out. Raven Tail was a guild created by Ivan Dreyer, Laxus's father, it is also a dark guild. However, it fit all the requirements for the Grand Magic Games, so Raven Tail was allowed to enter as a competitor. I could feel Grandpa Makarov's anger due to this outrageous decision. But the announcer just kept going.

"In 2nd place...Fairy Tail B!"

I stood and smiled from ear to ear.

"Laxus!"

I called out and I saw him look in my direction. He must've heard me because he began to act all cool and strong. Natsu was enraged because he thought that his team was the only Fairy Tail team that had entered. The audience was just as confused as Natsu and the others. Turns out there was a new rule this year, each guild could enter 2 teams each. Natsu continued to protest, but everyone else on his team seemed fine with the idea of two Fairy Tail representatives. And now for the final team.

"In 1st place...Sabertooth!"

The crowd roared loudly. It was unlike anything I'd seen, everyone was rooting for Sabertooth. The definitely looked strong. I just watched closely as the little pumpkin man explained the first challenge.
