Saber's Mistake

Day 4 of the Grand Magic Games, everyone gathered in their usual spots, but since the first master of Fairy Tail tattled on me to Laxus last night, Laxus told Bixlow to keep an eye on me. I'm not even allowed to walk around the stadium by myself anymore. I sighed and pouted my lips as I waited for the first challenge to begin. The event is called Naval Battle, a battle between each competitor in a field of water. Lucy, Juvia, Jenny, Chelia, Lislie, Rocker, and Minerva all volunteered as participants. Each competitor will fight to knock the other competitors out of the water; however, when there are only two competitors left, a 5 minute clock will start and anyone who is knocked out within the 5 minutes will fall to last place. The battle began and Lucy quickly took the offensive by summoning Aquarius. But Juvia immediately countered Aquarius with her own water magic. Rocker from Quatro Puppies guild was knocked out by Jenny. Everyone else got knocked out by Juvia's intense attack. Now only Juvia, Lucy, and Minerva were left, but Juvia suddenly slipped out of the giant bubble and was eliminated, guaranteeing herself 3rd place.

The clock started and Lucy and Minerva both tried to knock each other out. Lucy was at a serious disadvantage as she struggled to stay inside the field. Minerva suddenly became enraged at something Lucy said and began to beat her. Lucy was sent flying toward the edge of the field, but then she suddenly teleported back towards Minerva. The time on the clock ran out and both wizards were now guaranteed 1st and 2nd place in the event, but Minerva continued to abuse Lucy until Lucy was completely covered in bruises and unable to move. I stood as soon as I saw Lucy's limp body. Minerva grabbed her by her face and held her body outside the water bubble. Wendy, Chelia, and I all rushed to Lucy's side.

Mimic: Air bound

As the wind dragon slayer and God slayer began to cast healing magic on Lucy, I cast a pure wind barrier around them to enhance their abilities.

"Lucy!"

Natsu and the others hurried to Lucy's side and glared at Minerva. Sabertooth quickly stood in front of Minerva to protect her from Fairy Tail. I immediately placed myself between the two guilds and acted as a mediator.

"Stop it...or I'll personally lock all of you up."

Fairy Tail carried Lucy to the infirmary and Sabertooth went back to their balcony to gloat. I felt just as much hate for that guild as the rest of Fairy Tail, but I couldn't let my feelings stop me from protecting the dragon slayers.

"How is she?"

Laxus spoke as he entered the infirmary with Mirajane, Gajeel, and Cana.

"She's hurt bad...but she'll be fine thanks to Wendy."

Miss Porlyusica said as she treated Lucy's wounds. Wendy shook her head modestly.

"(Y/n)-san and Chelia-san helped too."

Everyone stood around Lucy's bed worried sick. Then Grandpa Makarov walked in.

"Good, you're all here."

"What is it master?"

"Because there is now an odd number of Guilds due to Raven Tail's disqualification, the council of the Grand Magic Games wants us to combine our teams to make one Fairy Tail team. They'll also be taking the lower score."

We all looked at each other as we wondered who would be chosen for the combined Fairy Tail team. I couldn't really think due to the cramps and stomach pains I was feeling at that moment. Miss Porlyusica immediately sat me down on a chair and handed me another cup of tea. She says I was experiencing pain due to stress. Of course I was feeling stressed, Sabertooth just made an enemy of Fairy Tail, it will be their greatest mistake.
