Chapter Six

'Yeah!' You hurriedly text back but then pause. 'Wait, what about Hannah? I thought you and her were going bowling Saturday?'

'How did you find out?' Newt texts back.

'She's only been showing off about it like, all morning.' You reply.

'Oh. Well, I would prefer your company to hers.'

'I dunno...'

'She wouldn't have to know, I'll just tell her I'm ill.'

'Fine. What were you thinking of?'

'Lunch?'

'Deal. Where?'

'Its a surprise'

'How am I supposed to know where to go if you tell me it's a surprise?!'

'Just meet me in town, by Asda's.'

'Okay.' You text back but then the school bell rings.

You quickly shove your phone back in your pocket just as the teacher looks up. "Well, that went fast!" Mrs Clarks smiles cheerfully.

Jessica rolls her eyes, finally awoken. "What've we got next?" She asked you.

"Hey, aren't I the new kid? Shouldn't I be asking you?" I chuckle as Mrs Clarks dismisses us. Everyone rushes out.

Me and Jess are the last ones to exit. We just followed the rest of the class.

- Time skip to end of school -

Jessica scribbles down her number on a scrap piece of paper. "Text tonight Y/N." She tells you smiling.

"Will do." You smile back, taking it.

Then Jessica ran off to catch her bus. You turn to your locker, and put back the subjects you had just had. Then took out maths, because the teacher had set homework. Suddenly you feel a tap on your shoulder. You turn to see Minho and Thomas. "Heyyyy boyssss," You grin, dragging out the y and then the s, just because you feel like it.

But then you frown, realising something was up by the skeptical looks on their faces. "Wassup?"

Minho was shifting his weight from one foot to the other, avoiding your eye.

Thomas stared at the floor, biting his lip.

"What's up?" You repeat, raising an eyebrow thoughtfully.

Minho sighed. He and Thomas exchanged glances.
