Chapter Thirteen

- Time Skip to lunch time -

You sit in the canteen with Jess, Newt, Thomas and Minho, nibbling your sandwich. You're too worried to feel hungry at the moment, unlike Jess and Minho who are having a competition to finish their lunch first. You poke at your food.

"Come on Y/N, I'm sure it's not that bad." Newt says.

"Yes it is! Hannah is going to make my life a misery." You complain.

"I meant the food." He raises an eyebrow.

"Oh.. Right." You sigh and lean on your fist staring at your lunchbox.

"Anyway.. Remember what we were speaking about earlier?" Newt asks quietly

"Huh?"

"You know, me wanting to break up with Hannah..." Newt whispers.

"Oh yeah!" You'd completely forgotten all about that.

Thomas and Minho hear and stop eating, looking up at you two.

"I win!" Jessica laughs, holding up her empty lunchbox, completely oblivious to what we were talking about. Then she saw our faces. "What?" She frowns.

You, Minho, Thomas and Newt sigh at the same time and you roll your eyes playfully at her.

"We should go somewhere a bit privater." You murmur, seeing Hannah walk over to us.

"Hey baby!" She smiles sweetly and pushes you harshly to get you to move up. She sits down in between Newt and you. Newt hesitantly kisses her cheek.

"How are you?" He asks.

Jess pulls a face at her behind her back.

"I'm amazing thank you. Come on, I have an idea." She smiles taking his arm and standing.

"I would love to come, but... I have homework." Newt sighs.

Hannah frowns at you. "Okay then. See you in class!" She quickly says and walked off.

"Phew." Jessica laughs. "She's a nightmare."

"Tell me about it." Newt grins.

"Let's talk in the library." Thomas suggests. "She hates it in there, plus it will look like we actually have homework."

"Good idea Thomas." Minho nods.

"Then it's settled." Jessica says. "Me and Y/N will see you in the library when you've finished eating," she stood.

You shut your lunchbox and stood up too.

The two of you walk out together.

And then you bump into a girl you recognise from Hannah's group.

Um... Sorry." You mumble.

The girl raises her eyebrow. "Jess, Y/N." She looked at the two of you closely. She has wavy pitch black hair and sharp brown eyes.

"Hi?" Jessica frowns. "Aren't you Teresa, in Hannah's gang?"

"Yep." Teresa nods.

"Then... Why are you talking to us?" You frown.

"Because I don't like her anymore." Teresa admits. "I used to think she was cool, but now... Well."

"I know what you mean." Jessica shrugs, causing you to frown further.

"Can I hang around with you?" Teresa asks.

You think for a moment. "Okay then, but maybe tomorrow: we're doing um.. Something."

Teresa frowns. "Is it to do with revenge on Hannah?" She asks tilting her head. "If so I want in!"

"Sorry we can't let you do that." Jessie frowns, making it clear that she didn't trust her.

"You don't trust me, do you?" Teresa whispers tears filling her eyes. She turns and runs off before you could even think of calling after her.

You sigh.

"Let's go." Jessica points at a flight of nearby stairs. "They lead to the library."

Together the two of you walk upstairs. Then, you walk inside a door to reveal a large library. Shelves of books are on the walls, and shelves in the middle too. To the left there are plenty of tables and chairs, to the right there are computers.

"Woah." You gaze around in wonder. "This is the best library I've ever seen."

Jessica chuckles. "Let's go sit at a table." She pointed at a spare table in the corner of the room, surrounded by 6 chairs.

You automatically walk over to it and dump your bag on the table. So does Jessica. You and Jess sit on two seats that are next to each other.

"What do we do whilst we wait?" You wonder aloud.

"No idea." Jessica shrugs back.

"We could play truth or dare?" You suggest.

"Okay." Jessica shrugs

"Truth or dare?" You ask her.

"Truth." She replies quickly.

"Have you got a crush on someone?" You smirk.

"Y...yeah.." Jessica mumbles, blushing.
