Questions About Bittersweet

Hey guys! First of all, thank you so much for all of your reads and lovely comments. I woke up this morning to over 500 notifications from Wattpad - all of your follows, votes and supporting comments have quite literally made my day.
Secondly, I've noticed more and more of you have been asking a few questions about the story, maybe things that weren't clear, things that I haven't backed up. So I decided to post this, and answer all of your questions. (I'll have to add more later seeing as class has almost started 😅.) Feel free to comment any others you might have, and I will gladly answer them! X

Why did you put Jessica and Thomas together instead of Jessica and Minho?
Jessica is quite an outgoing, excitable, competitive character. Seeing as this is quite alike Min-Min's personality, most of you are quite surprised I didn't put those two together. But here's the thing; personally, I think that Jess and Minho would be great best friends, since they can constantly challenge each other and mess around and play fight etc. I felt that if she was going to like someone that it should be Thomas, because it would be someone who she can wind down with, relax with. In my mind, she's always admired Thomas for his quiet curiosity, and the loving and caring side of him. I've mentioned before that Jessica's mum ran a makeup salon. Her mum is really into beauty, and sort of nags her daughter about it. Her mum would have thrown a few harsh comments about her needing to make herself beautiful and hide her spots and stuff a day, which would make her sort of low-key worry about how she looks, lower her self-esteem. (This is partially why Hannah so easily manipulated Jessica later on in the story.) I felt like Thomas could be there for her to comfort her, make her feel like herself.

I thought my phone went down the toilet. Why does Y/N now have one?
Yeah, this is something I missed in the story. I have had numerous comments pointing this out. I'll fix this out later on when I update the story's mistakes, but until then just assume that she's using her old one.

Was Teresa really being dodgy, or was she actually trying to be friends?
Just being 'dodgy'. I think Hannah saw the group in the canteen whispering to one another but she also didn't trust the fact Newt was doing 'homework' because he's a super productive guy and always does it the night it's set (in my mind anyway) so she sent one of her minions to try and figure out what they were up to. She didn't figure out much from their little conversation, but she did figure out they were up to something.

In the epilogue, you said that Y/N was going on a world tour with Jess whilst Newt stayed to study. Would their long-distance relationship work?
I mean, what happens after the story is up to you and your imagination, but in my mind, I think that yes, it would. A year is a long time to be apart from someone, but Y/Newt is a ship I will go down with and they're super cute together.

WHY. Why did you think it was okay to include the please Y/N, please joke?!?!?!
Eh. Thought it would be funny ;)
