Almost six weeks had passed and Ella still was unconsious, she didn't wake up or respond to touch. The doctors said that she had active brain waves, she just was not ready to wake up and face the world yet. Her body was healing, the swelling down in her head, her broken ribs and leg healing great. The swelling around her spinal cord was down, but there was still swelling that could remain for awhile.

Josh never left her side, he would grab a something quick to eat and shower and go right back to be by her side. Sara and MIke had been there since the day after the accident and had not left. They were staying at Ellla's and Ben's condo, helping out with the boys. The boys loved having Mike's and Ella's kids there.

Lauren had flown back to Vancouver to go back to her job. She was a solo singer, and was recording her first album. She was bumed that Josh wasn't going to be helping out like they had planned. She was also upset that their wedding got post poned. Josh wouldn't set a new date, he told her that he would have to see how Ella was doing. Lauren tried to be understanding but she was hurt and upset. She told Josh that she would wait, because she loved him.

Ben helped with the boys and took shifts with Josh, the only way Josh would leave her was when Ben was there. Ben had just left Josh by her side and was on his way home to the condo. He was starting to get worried that she would never wake up. It didnt' take him long to get home, he jumped on the subway at Queens park and headed towards the down town. It would be a short walk to the condo.

It was a hot humid night, it was Ella's favorite weather, she loved summer. One thing she loved about Toronto was the weather, she hated the rain and vancouver had been alot of rain. He took the elevator up to the condo, he usually took the stairs. It was past nine so the boys would be in bed.

"Hey Ben. How is she today?" Sara asked as Ben came through the door. Her and Mike were sitting on the sofa watching a movie.

"Same." he said sitting down in the chair across from the happy couple. Mike and Sara were perfect together, having babies changed Sara, she was perfect stay at home mom. Ben ran his hand through his short blonde hair. "I am scared she is never going to wake up. I wish we could take the boys in to see her."

"I know Ben, me too." Sara said

"How is Josh?" Mike asked taking his wife's hand.

"He is worried sick. He won't leave her. He showers and eats and sleeps at the hospital. He sees the boys in the waiting room. He will not leave her."

Sara sighed. "Does he know what he is doing to himself. She will wake up eventually and will push him away again and by that time Lauren will have had enough and moved on."

"He never stoped loving her." Mike said. "I think the whole Lauren thing is his way of coping. I do believe he cares for her but Ella will always be the one her adores and loves."

"She loves him." Ben said softly. "She won't admit it ever but she does."

Sara sighed again. "I just want her to be okay."

"We all do honey." Mike squeezed her hand gently.

"How are the monsters?"

Sara smiled. "They are delightful. They helped out keeping my two entertained and got them sleepy. Landon was a little upset at bedtime. He wanted to see his mother."

Ben ran a hand through his blonde hair and sighed. "I think it would be good for her to hear their voices. The doctors will not let them in the ICU though. So stupid."

"Man you look tired. You should get some rest." Mike said to Ben. "We will go over and relieve Josh in the morning for a little. You sleep in."

"Who is going to take care of the kids?"
