Carl's pov:

My eyes started to water up.
This could not be happening.

I went over to Lauren and I pulled up a chair.

I grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Lauren I don't want you to go." I say as I look up to her face.

"I know you may hate me, but I never stopped loving you." I say.

I heard someone walk up behind me.

I look over my shoulder to see my dad.

"Hey Dad." I say as I wiped away the tears on my face.

I face my dad.

"Look Boy. I want you to get some rest in your cell. I know you love her. But you need a good night sleep.because today was a rough day and you are obviously really tired." He says a he puts his hand on my shoulder.

"Fine." I say as I get out of the chair.

"Woah. I was expecting more of a fight." He says.

"Goodnight dad." I say as I walk off to my cell.

"Goodnight son." My dad says back.

I went inside my cell and took off my hat and shoes I was wearing.

I took of my pants and I went into my bed.

I am tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable spot.

Someone taps me on the back.

I look over startled to see Lauren standing there.

"Lauren are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah. I am. I want to sleep with you though." Lauren says.

She takes off her shoes,pants and jacket and climbs into bed.

"I miss us, Carl. Everything."

"I miss us too." I say stuttering a bit. This wasn't right something isn't right about all of this.

She places her head on my chest.

"I love you." She says.

"I love you too." I say back.
