(A.N.- Hey everyone! I am soooo sorry for the delay!<3 This chapter is a little rushed. I am so sorry<3)
The final bell rang, letting all the anxious kids out of school. Kids flooded out of the building with cheery Christmas spirit. Sam, Hunter, and I walked out together. I could see the way Sam was looking at Hunter. She was defiantly falling for him. I smiled at the two of them.
“We should hang out today!” Sam said cheerfully.
“Sure,” I smiled.
“How about your house, Alli?” Sam smiled.
“Oh…um,” I bit my lip. “I don’t think that’s very good.”
“Why not?”
“I live in a hotel building.”
“So? That’s so awesome!” Sam stopped walking. “Like on “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”!” She giggled.
“But it’s…icky.” I said, getting embarrassed.
“Oh yeah! Isn’t that where you took that super creepy picture?” Hunter came into the conversation.
“Yeah,”
“Creepy picture?” Sam questioned.
“Yeah, there’s some weird shit going on in her basement.”
“I want to see!” Sam jumped up and down.
“Maybe another time,” I laughed.
“Please can we go to your hotel?” She continued to beg.
“No,”
“Fine, we’ll go to my house,” Sam sighed out.
Sam’s entire house was decorated with Christmas decorations. There was a big and fake Christmas tree in the corner of her living room, and a menorah in their window. I stared at both of them for a while—confused.
“My Mom’s Jewish, my dad’s Catholic. So, we celebrate both,” She explained, sensing my confusion.
I nodded. “That’s really cool,” I smiled. “I wish I celebrated both.” I pouted.
She giggled, and we all walked up to her room.
“So,” Sam sat on her bed. “What ‘creepy shit’ goes on in your hotel?”
“Ugh,”
“Pleeaase?” She begged.
“Fine. Well what Hunter was talking about was I took some pictures when I went to the basement, and in the background of one of the pictures was someone like, tied up? But it was in the way back of it.”
“Oh. My. God.” She froze. “No, you’re joking. That didn’t really happen.”
Hunter chuckled, and Sam shot a glare over to him.
“Yes it really happened,” I answered.
“But, but…how do you sleep there!? I would not be able to sleep there anymore. I’d be scared that someone was going to come into my room in the middle of the night and kill me. Or take me to the basement and tie me up and torture me. And just let me starve there or something! Aren’t you afraid that’s going to happen?” She said all in one breath.
“Um, well I didn’t think of that until now.” I nervously played with my fingers.
“Oh, sorry!”
Sam must have apologized about twenty more times. Her mom let me eat over, and her food was amazing. It was so much better than the dirt my mom ‘cooks’. I left her house right after dinner.
It was already getting dark, and I had to walk home. Hunter lived across the street, so he didn’t have to worry about walking home in the dark.
The snow was ankle-deep, and it seemed to burn my skin. My pants were soaked up to my knee. I shivered and tugged on my jacket to try and keep warmer—it didn’t work. I looked down at my bright red fingers. They seemed to be permanently curled from me holding my hands in fists for a while.
I suddenly stopped walking when I heard a noise come from behind me. It sounded like a camera shot. I shrugged it off when I saw nothing was there. I walked at a slow pace with the feeling that my joints were frozen.
Snap.
I turned around and saw nothing again. I tried walking at a slightly quicker pace.
Snap.
I began to run home.
Snap. Snap. Snap.
Someone was following me.
(A.N.-Oh no! Someone's following her. Hahaha :P
Thanks for reading<3)
