She Took Me To The Garden Just For A Little Walk.

Mike and I walked all around the house together, finally settling on checking outside. The air was still warm and damp with a breeze. I looked around a few times only to find that Mike and I were alone.

"Well, I don't know where he is," I sighed

"Doesn't matter, he's probably off talking to some chicks like the rest of 'em," Mike shrugged

"Wouldn't you rather do that too?" I asked

"I don't care, I don't feel like being real social right now."

I looked at Mike who's eyes were fixated on the lard yard in front of him, I took a few steps closer to him and then bumped him lightly with my shoulder, "Wanna take a walk then?"

He kept his eyes in front of him, before turning to look at me and shrugging once again, "Sure."

I smiled as him softly, walking down the front steps and onto the paved driveway that seemed to stretch on. I took a deep breath, looking back to Mike who was following behind me with his hands stuffed in his pockets. We walked together, talking about an abundance of different things getting to know each other better.

We made it to the garden that flourished with flowers and plants of all kinds. The beautiful scents all mixing together as we walked past them on the cobble stone walk way where despite Mike's tallness, we were hidden by the much taller bushes.

"Mike?" I asked softly, looking up at him

"Hm?" Was his response

"Davy wasn't really looking for me, was he?"

Mike kept quiet, for what seemed like the tenth time shrugging again. I smiled a bit brightly to myself, before letting out a small laugh.

"I didn't like the look of the guy you were with, I mean you are Davy's cousin so I might as well look after you too," He said finally

"Oh," I spoke softly, watching my feet as I walked slowly next to him

"What did he want anyways?"

"Mrs. Dalhousie introduced us, we were just talking and we have a lot in common. He asked me to call him and we'd set up a date to meet again," I answered, now being the one to shrug

"He's just tryin' to get with you for one thing, I know guys like that. Plus you won't be in America forever, Davy said only a few months," He argued

"Well, I've been thinking about staying here. Getting myself a house on the beach like you lot, that is if mum won't miss me too much," I laughed quietly

"Did he give you his number?" Mike was now looking at me

"Yes,"

"You don't need that, if I were you I'd leave him to find someone else."

"Why are you being so suspicious and watchful?" I asked

"Because, I don't trust guys like him," he stated again

"What's 'guys like him' mean?"

"Guys with a lot of money and important jobs, they don't have time to love someone. You'd just been thrown into the mix of his "priorities" and you wouldn't be number one babe," His brow furrowed as he spoke, a serious tone coating his words

"He's different," I argued

"Oh is he now?"

"Yes,"

"Fine, if you wanna live a boring life then you go right ahead. If you wanna marry a boring man who doesn't care, and have boring kids who'll grown up spoiled and bratty then be my guest," His voice had raised slightly, once he finished he walked away through the garden

"Michael!" I yelled rushing after him

It was like a maze, I looked all around to find him. Two things crossed my mind, I should either leave him be and let him cool down or I should keep trying to locate the moody Texan I had suddenly unleashed.
