Danae POV

**I woke up to a light shining in my face and beeping noises all around me. I squinted my eyes because the sun was beaming in through the windows. I sat up and looked around to see some guy and some girl in the room that I've never seen before in my life. They both looked about my age, and I'm not gon front like the guy wasn't fine because he was. The girl was pretty too, they looked alike so I assumed that they were siblings, twins even. The guy looked up from his phone and gave me a smile that only made me wanna jump on it. The girl was sitting on the other side of the room eating something from Popeyes, and she wasn't paying nobody no mind.

Kaine: Bout time you woke up beautiful...
Danae: Hey...I don't mean to be use but uh...who are you?
Kaine: Oh yeah sorry. I'm Kaine and I saw your house about to burn down so I was the one who busted all in your house and brought you here.

It was all coming back to me now. I did remember my house being caught on fire and I remembered seeing a tall figure picking me up and allat. I guess he was that nigga.

Danae: Oh thank you...I really appreciate that.
Kaine: Of course. And can I get a beautiful name to go with a beautiful face?...
Danae: (blushes) Uh...I'm Danae. Nice to meet you...Kaine?
Kaine: Yup that's me. And over there is my fat ass sister Kash.
Kash: (looks up and mugs him) Shut up!
Kaine: (laughs) Anyways, I know this may not be the best time for this but can I take you out some time?
Danae: Uh sure...I'd like that.
Kaine: (smiles) Great. And I left my number so when you need to bust up out of here you can call me.
Danae: (laughs) Thank you.
Kaine: You welcome. Well...I have to go. I'll see you later Danae.
Danae: (nods) Okay...

Kaine left and his sister was still sitting there, not paying attention to a damn thing. I got her attention and told her that her brother but she said she had nothing better to do so she stayed with me in the room. Her name was Kash and she was funny as hell! She had me rolling the whole time. We had a lot in common, and I can actually see myself being friends with this girl. We talked for a couple more hours then she had to leave because her boyfriend was blowing up her phone. She gave me a hug and left, I laid back in the bed and dozed off with Kaine lingering in my head.

Danae POV

**I called Keenon a few days ago and told him that I was in the hospital and he came and brought Dre to me and left him here. Like what the fuck? I loved my baby but what the hell am I supposed to do for him in the hospital. With Dre being here I was forced to leave. Not by the doctors or none of that but how else am I going to be able to meet his needs while I'm stuck in here. I called Keenon to tell him to come and pick me up but as usual he didn't answer his phone. I started to get irritated when I noticed the number Kaine gave me on the table. I picked it up and debated on whether I should call him or not. I honestly had no other choice so I dialed the number and he answered on the third ring.

Kaine: Hello?
Danae: Hey um...This is Danae.
Kaine: (smiles) Hey wassup. How you been?
Danae: I'm good. But I was actually wondering if you could come and get me from the hospital...
Kaine: Of course I can. I'll be there in about 15 minutes.
Danae: Okay thank you.
Kaine: Don't. I'll see you in a minute.
Danae: Okay...Bye.(hangs up)

When I hung up I just felt geeked. I had all types of butterflies in my tummy, and I haven't felt like this in a long time. I got both mine and Dre's stuff together and waited for Kaine to come in the room. About 10-15 minutes later he came walking through the door, with a smile spread across his face. Looking at him I couldn't help but smile back at him.

Kaine: You ready?
Danae: Yes sir.
Kaine: (picking Dre up) Who's this?
Danae: (thinking) Shit! Shit! Shit! (Says out loud) That's my son...
Kaine: Word? He's lucky.(smirking)
Danae: How?
Kaine: He gets to see you everyday. Hear your voice everyday. And he probably sucking on them titties everyday too.(laughing)
Danae: (laughs) Stooooop.
Kaine: Naw I'm playin. But if you don't mind me asking...Why didn't you ask his father to come and get you.?
Danae: That's a complicated situation...(shakes her head)
Kaine: Well don't talk about it if it's gonna make you upset. Let's just go...

Kaine took Dre and carried his car seat to the car. Kaine really like Dre and from what I saw in the room he didn't mind that I had a child at all. Kaine put Dre's car seat in the car and strapped him in while I got in the backseat with him. Kash was in the front seat and she looked at me in the back.

Kash: Is that baby boy you were telling me about the other day?
Danae: Yes it is.
Kash: Awwwww! I want to see him!
Danae: Okay you can see him when we get to my house.
Kaine: Speaking of that...where am I taking you?
Danae: Oh yeah. Sorry.

I gave Kaine the direction to my old house. When he pulled up he got out and helped me with Dre and his bags and took me to the door. Kash got out the car because she wanted to see Dre, and she fell in love with him. She wanted to take him to her house and allat. They both actually ended up staying over and Kaine was such a good guy. He was thoughtful, caring, fine, considerate, fine, smart, and did I mention that he was fine?

Austin came in my room and looked confused for a minute, then he smirked when he saw Dre. He went over to where he was laying on the bed and picked him up, throwing him and catching him in the air.

Austin: My nigga. How you been?(munching on his cheeks) Why you ain't tell me you was over here?
Danae: Well I didn't see your car outside so I didn't think you were here either.
Austin: Oh yeah I let my boy borrow it for a job interview he had to go to. But uh...can I talk to you in my room real quick?
Danae: Yeah. I'll be back y'all.(stepping in Austin room)
Austin: (walks in and closes the door) Who are they?
Danae: Just some friends. Why?
Austin: Because ol boy was all up on you.
Danae: Okay and?
Austin: And....Keenon bout to be over in a minute.
Danae: So what?
Austin: I'm just saying, you better hope nothing pop off up in here.
Danae: Okay Austin.(walking back to her room)

I walked back to my room and on my way there I caught Keenon walking in. I was going to greet him until I saw some girl following behind him. He saw me and kind of froze up but then caught himself, while the girl came up in front of him and pecked his lips asking him if he was okay. He nodded his head and I just went to my room where Kaine and Kash were chilling in my room.

Danae: Y'all just made yourselves comfortable I see.(laughing)
Kash: We sure did.(laughs)
Kaine: Actually I think I'm about to head out.(getting up) You good tho? You need anything?
Danae: No I think I'm good thanks. Let me walk you out.

On our way out Keenon and his lil Thotfriend were on my couch all close and shit. Keenon looked back and saw Kaine walking behind me while I held his leading him to the door. He mean mugged him and I could tell that Kaine knew it was bothering me so he decided to stay after all. Keenon got up from the couch and walked over to me grabbing my hand walking to the kitchen.

Danae: (snatching away from him) What Keenon?
Keenon: Who the fuck is pretty boy?!
Danae: (pushes him) Lower your voice! He's just a friend. And since you wanna ask questions and be all in my business. Who's that Thotler sitting in the living room?
Keenon: Man chill out. She a friend.
Danae: Friends don't kiss Keenon. It's not like we're together so why does it matter?
Keenon: Because it does now tell him to leave.
Danae: No. You don't own me and I need you to get that through your head. I don't have to listen to you. Keenon you aren't my boss and I'm sick you treating me like some slave. Keenon I'm done!
Keenon: (chuckles) Bitch you think you bold?...(roughly grabs her neck and slams her against the wall) Bitch I made you who you are today. Without me you wouldn't have half the shit you do now. Don't think you somebody because ol boy is waiting for you out front...Baby you will always be mine and deep down you know that shit. So go ahead be with your lil punk ass boyfriend but don't forget to tell him that I own you, and I will ALWAYS be here.
Danae: (struggling to breath,gripping his wrist)
Keenon: (looks at her up and down and let's her go) Come on Kya! Let's go!(walking out the kitchen)
Danae: (falls to the ground and breathes heavily)

After Keenon left Kaine and Kash had a family emergency so they had to leave too. Later that night I got a text message from Keenon and he said he would be back at the house. I just put my phone down and looked up at the ceiling. All these flashbacks from Keenon and I went through my head and I couldn't help but let a tear fall. I regretted the day I even met him...
