Meredith P.O.V.

Walking through school the next day, I felt numb. Every person who stared at me, I ignored and kept walking. It was like everything going on around me was a blur. Looking around at everything, my eyes connected with the same pair of emerald ones that I had made contact with yesterday.

This time with a different emotion in them; determination, but determination of what? He didn't look scared like he did yesterday, he had this look I couldn't make out. It was like he was masking it, determined not to show me.

I turned my head away from those eyes and continued on down the hallway, still feeling empty and numb. Have you ever wanted to go back in time and change every single one of your mistakes? Or wonder what you could do to protect the person who got hurt because of your mistakes? I do. Every single day, I wake up and every time I breathe, I remember.

*Flashback*

"You stupid piece of shit!" I heard a deep voice yell and a cry of pain. I crept down the hall, keeping quiet. My parents had died in a fire and my older sister, Kendra, who is an adult, took me under her wing caring for her 11 year old sister.

"When I tell you to do something, you do it!" I heard her boyfriend yell. I felt tears start to fall as I hear Kendra scream again. I started sobbing even more when I saw what I did. I'll never forget the look of horror on her face when Mike, her boyfriend, slammed a plate on her head knocking her out. I was frozen in my spot. No matter how much I willed my feet to go they wouldn't. They felt like 100 pound bricks on my feet.

I saw Mike pick up a knife and that's when I couldn't take it. I ran from where I was hiding and ran to the phone. Just as I was about to grab the phone to call the police I tripped and my head hit the table. I remember my last thought.

'I'm sorry Kendra I failed you. I should've knocked the knife from his hand.'

*Flashback over*

I shook my head to get rid of the horrible memory. I knew I could never trust anyone again. Not after what Memoree had to go through. She was my only hope to forgetting everything. I started street boxing when I was 13. I've trained ever since.

I got to the classroom door and knew class had already begun. I walked through the door and saw all heads swivel to look at me.

"Miss Camden you're late." Mrs. Nimble said. I nodded and muttered a 'sorry' and headed to my seat in the back. The teacher started her lesson after I took a seat.

I walked into the lunchroom and everyone was staring at me like I was an alien or something. I saw two boys standing in front of me was Louis Tomlinson and a kid with a mop of curly hair on his head. Louis was in one of my classes, biology I think but I don't know the other kid. I glared at the people around me who were staring. I looked up and saw Louis staring wide eyed. I gave him a look making him look down.

The other kid turned around slowly and everything froze. It was him- the kid who was at my match last night. My eyes connected with his and I couldn't read his facial expression. He cocked his head to the side a little.

"Are you okay?" he asked. His voice was deep and raspy. There was a tickle in the back of my mind, like I had seen him before. ignoring that feeling I spun on my heel, turned and walked away feeling everyone stare at me as I walked out.

Harry P.O.V (A/N this is the day from his eyes.)

That morning I still couldn't get those empty eyes out of my mind. Every time I thought of them, I got goosebumps and shivers down my spine.
