The Letter

"That was a wonderful performance! The costumes, the props, and the singing!! Oh! Mama, what was it like when you were performing?" a young woman was bursting with excitment. She has just been to here first opera.

"Your mother was the best soprano paris has ever known. She captured the audiences with each of her performances" replied an older, yet somehow youthful man.

"Oh my dear Raoul, that was so long ago. Evalina, it was the most liberating feeling; to be able to sing to your admirers while making art and becoming one with the music is truly joyful. Just think, Evalina, someday you will be on the stage making the music take flight". The older woman, who Evalina looked just like, had a far-off gaze while she described her past.
The De changy family was a family of high nobility. The family members consisted of Raoul De changy, husband and father. His wife, Christine De changy; and their only child and daughter, 18 year old Evalina.

They were a happy family, one full of warmth and love.
And dark secrets.

"I love you Momma, I love you Father." Evalina said with every sincere thought and feeling.

"We love you too dear. We better hurry home. Its getting dark" just as the De changy family was turning a corner, a boy ran up to Evalina with a small envelope.

" A letter for you miss." he says while sticking out his arm with the letter in his hand.

"For me? Who is it from?" Evalina takes the letter from the boy who then tells her that a man in the shadows wanted her to have it.

"What is it dear? Who is it from?" her father asks.

"I'm not sure, it looks like an invitation....'my love, the stage has been set once more..."

"I bid thee to return to my opera house, opera de couer, and reprise the role meant for you in one, final, performance"-O.G
