Together (a rex and ashoka love story)

If you read the past chapter you will all know that Rex and Ashoka finally kissed. But is them being together a good idea? will one of them have second thoughts? And to top all of that off there is a battle of orto plutora they need to go to. Is this going to end good or bad?

Ashoka's POV.

Ashoka awoke the morning after her birthday. She got dressed in her usual clothes and headed to the mess hall to see it was empty. "what time is it?" she asked herself. She looked up at the clock and it was 6 am "i only slept 5 hours!?" ashoka said out loud to herself. So she just shrugged it off and thought over the events of last night. "Me and Rex kissed, Are we together? if so is this a good idea i mean he could get in major trouble....well so could i" she thought to herself "maybe i should talk to him". So Ashoka went to find Rex. She found him in the gym working out alone. "Hey..Rex? can we talk?" ashoka asked him "Sure, What about?" he asked smiling, but what he didn't know was that his happiness was gonna be cut short. "What's up littl'un?" rex asked "well rex..as you know last night we...kissed..and well i just think maybe it wasn't the best idea. I mean we could get in alot of trouble. I would be expelled and forced to leave corosant forever, And you would be punished and sent back to kamino...or worse.." Ashoka told him "well what are you gettin at?" rex asked nervously. "I just need some time to think Rex..i hate doing this but i'm not sure if it's a good idea" She replied. And then she walked out of the gym without another word.

Rex's POV

 "Ashoka.....i.." Rex sighed and walked to the mess hall. He opened the doors to find Cody, Echo and fives talking. But Rex decided maybe he should think too. So he got his food and went to sit alone. Cody waved to him telling him to come over, But he didn't..."she needs time to think about what? we kissed, i love her now i..i don't even know.." Rex thought to himself "What am i gonna do? i handed her my heart now its...breaking..." Rex thought. He looked down at his food and sighed, Then his comm went off causing him to jump, he answered "captain Rex here" he said "Rex get to the docking bay get ashoka and your men, Were going on a mission" Skywalker commanded. So Rex did as he was told he gathered his men and sent them to Skywalker. Rex went to find Ashoka. He found her in her room "Commander...General skywalker wants us in the docking bay right away" He said looking at his feet and left without another word. So with that they were in the docking bay, supplies were being loaded on to the resolute, And Skywalker was giving out orders "ah, Rex, Ashoka your here good. We need to get to Orto Plutora. The tulls are having some sepratist issues. So were gonna go and take care of their pest problem" He informed them all. And with that they were on the resolute and on their way to help the tulls. Ashoka was on the bridge so Rex went to talk to her. "Ashoka..can i talk to you for a moment?" Rex asked with a very upset voice, "What is it Captain?" ashoka asked "Wh-Why are you calling me captain?..forget it it's just...i know it's not safe but i really want us to be together Ashoka I-" Rex started but was cut off by Ashoka "Listen i'm very busy, And i need to think. Just let me be and get back to your duty's Captain" Ashoka ordered. "Wha-..I..fine!" Rex said angrily, Threw on his helmet and stormed off without looking at her again. "She's calling me captain now?! what the krif. I thought she loved me..i thought we were going to be together..now my hearts in two..and i feel angry and...hurt..." Rex thought to himself with a tear in his eye. "Captain!" fives called running after rex, "what is it fives?." Rex asked sounding depressed. "Um..the general wants to see you, Sir" Fives informed rex "thanks.." Rex replied and walked away. He was making his way to the generals quarters when he saw ashoka. "Commander?..can i talk to you please?" Rex asked desperetly. "not now captain!" Ashoka yelled obviously sounding upset. "Listen..ashoka..i was gonna tell you that i-" "I said not now!!" Ashoka yelled again. "You know what? I handed you my heart and now you've crushed it! And calling me captain..being distant..its not working Ashoka! I will not give up on you! so i dont know why your acting like this its..its stupid!" Rex yelled now losing his temper "you dare yell at your commander?!" Ashoka yelled. They were in eachothers faces, both angry. "Ashoka i don't wanna fight...i..i l-" Rex started but was cut off by his comm. "Rex where are you i sent fives for you? Get here now!" Anakin yelled through the comm "yes sir" Rex replied and when he looked up asked was gone. "Ashoka?" rex asked. But she was gone. So he made his way to go find skywalker he was on the bridge. "Finally! Rex i need to attend to other matters so its going to be you, your men and ashoka, Alright?" Skywalker asked "Yes sir! We can take care of it!" Rex replied trying to sound confident, "Is something wrong rex?" Skywalker asked "Dang it he is a jedi he can sense something can't he?" Rex thought to himself "Why do you ask sir?" rex asked. "hmm you seem stressed and angry..but mostly upset...and sad" Skywalker said. "I'm fine sir! i'm gonna go gaher my men and..the..commander.." he informed the jedi and turned sharply on his heel and went out the door to find his men. Rex founs all his men in the armory and sent them to the bay of the ship so they could get the supplies and all that. And he went off on a daring quest to find ashoka. She was in her room, So rex knocked on the door, "*Knock knock knock* Ashoka? We have to go. General skywalk-" Rex started but was cut off by the door opening to reveal ashoka "i know! he told e earlier!" Ashoka replied annoyed. so they walked to the docking bay. Once they got there Rex, his men and ashoka got on the gunships and headed to the planet below the resolute. The entire trip there was just dead air, awkward silence. Rex was depressed and hurt, Ashoka was upset and angry, And all the men kinda felt like something was wrong since their captain and commander were not talking.l And usually they always chat and this just was unnatural. Once they arrived they were immediatly welcomed by a battalion of droids, And all different kinds. Battle droids, Super battle droids and rolling death balls. And into battle they went the clones shooting down droids left and right. Ashoka cutting them down as well. But the bad thing was that Rex and Ashoka were distracted, And on a battle field that is the worst thing. Ashoka was so unfocused that she got shot through her side. She lay there unconcious , Soon rex noticed and ran over to her while still shooting down droids. All of his men noticed his run from cover to help her and they were all thinking "Is he crazy? He'll be killed!". But Rex didn't care, Ashoka was hurt and he needed to help her. "ashoka? can you hear me?" Rex asked her but there was no answer. He stayed by her, Killing every droid that came near. The droids were all dead. Kix came over to Ashoka and Rex. "Kis is it bad? Can you help her?" Rex asked sounding worried, "I think i can fix her up" Kix informed his Captain. So Rex carried ashoka to a near by cave they hid out in until she awakens. Rex stayed by ashoka's side the entire time and he noticed all the funny looks he was getting from his men. "Why are they looking at me like that? Clones feel worry and commpasion and love, Don't they know this?" Rex thought to himself "Alright..I've done the best i can, She should wake in a half hour or so" Kix told rex "Thanks kix" replied Rex. "Fives echo, Take four other and go find wood or something flamable to make a fire" All you others get some food and blankets from the ships...oh and make sure the ships are still okay!" Rex ordered and all the men did as they were told. "Ashoka..i know you can't hear me but...i wanted to tell you earlier...then maybe this wouldn't have happened...i love you ashoka..this is all my fault..i could have taken that bullet for you, my life isn't nearly as important to me as you are...i would give my life for yours. If my death means your well being then so be it. i would be okay with that...i Love you and that's all that matters to me. I know when you wake up you will probably be mad at me yet but...If you can hear me..just move a finger or something." Rex said to ashoka. But there was no answer. The men came back and they made a fire, Hardcase handed rex a blanket to cover ashoka and he covered her with it. They all rested a while about an hour later Ashoka woke up and they got on the gunships and headed back to the resolute. When they arrived at the resolute Ashoka headed straight for her room. Rex went to find her. He stopped at her door, knocked and said through the door "Ashoka..i want to talk" she let him in and he sat on the bed next to her. Rex took ashoka's hand in his looked her in the eyes and said "Ashoka i will do anything to make this relationship work. I will give up everything i have just to be with you. Ashoka i love you and nothing will ever change that." He told her "Rex i..i know..i heard everything you said when we were in that cave..i just needed to think and i want this relationship to work too. And Rex..i love you too" She said and they kissed.
