Trinity

We have lost another member of our group. Jeremy has been taken by the mysterious man who has been hunting us since the beginning. Now, we have no choice but to go deeper down the cavern.

"What? Why'd you stop?"

"It's... It's that smell again."

"This whole place smells!"

"You know what I mean- Oh my god! What is that?" I yelled pointing at something behind Lauren.

"What?" Lauren asked suddenly.

"Behind you!"

I began to shake and Lauren turned around in fear.

"WWWWRRRROOOOAAAARRRR!"

"Oh shit!" I yelled in panic. "Quick, charge for the entrance!"

"RRROOOAAAARRR!"

We ran as fast as our feet could carry us to escape the strange creature.

We both stopped and began gasping for air "Okay, I think we lost him. Now let's-" I gasp for air. "Get the hell out of these damn tunnels."

Gasping for air, Lauren replied "Good idea."

As we approached the bookcase door, we saw it close shut before our eyes and the shooter's voice whispered "Perfect..."

"Oh my god! It's shut! That one was open! What happened?" Lauren began to turn red.

"Well, don't yell at me. It's not my fault!"

"What are we even doing here? Run and hide, run and lose someone, run and hide, run and lose someone else.... It's just an endless cycle."

"What we are doing is trying to make it out of here. We can't lose focus, Lauren"

"What's the point? Everyone else who was helping us is gone and dead. Jeremy is probably gone too. I don't think I can go on any further, Trinity." Lauren sighed and began leaning against the wall.

"Lauren, you can't give up. I don't think I could do this without you, this is already an impossible situation. I- I can't do this alone. I.. I need you, Lauren." A tear fell down my face. "I can't do this by myself. This man has an advantage on us, or so he thinks. We can't let him win, that can't happen. He thinks he can control us, we need to show him that he is wrong."

"Alright, Trinity." Lauren wiped her tears away. "I'll do it, for you."

"No, do it for Austin, for Karen, for Jeremy, for yourself."

"I will. Thank you, Trinity, I really needed that."

"Anytime." I nodded and we resumed scurrying down the hall.

A few minutes later, a door finally opened and we squeezed inside, quietly closing the door behind us.

"Alright, I think we can take a break." Lauren said pushing her long hair out of her face.
