Chapter 18 long nights

Later that evening Carlisle put a little hospital bed in the room with us.
He then came back with Junior sound asleep in his arms.
After Carlisle left the room me and Jason went over to watch our son sleep.
Jason brought the rocking chair over to Junior's crib and sat down.while opening his arms for me to sit on his lap.
We looked down at him in awe,
We sat there for a while admiring him.
I started to get sleepy so I laid back in the bed while Jason took the night shift.
I awoke to crying I groaned then sat up in bed.
I looked over to see Jason trying to clam Junior down with no such luck.
I told Jason to bring him over to me,I knew he was probably hungry.
Because this would be his first time eating since he came into this world.
After feeding him I burped him and held him for a bit.
I sang a song my mom sang to me when I was little.

You are my sunshine.
My little sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are grey,
You don't know dear how much I love you please don't take my sunshine away.

Junior's P.O.V.

After being born the guy in the white lab coat handed me to a guy in a hockey mask saying meet your father.
He seemed shocked at seeing me,but gently held me in his strong protective embrace.
I could tell right off he was indeed my dad.
I smiled up at him,he cocked his head at me.
After a moment the guy in the white lab coat told father to come sit in mother's room and wait for her to awake.
He carefully carried me in his arms to a rocking chair and sat down,with me still in his arms.
He started to rock back and forth,I liked it a lot.
He suddenly stopped rocking me and picked up a stuffed animal off mom's bed and showed it to me.
I laughed when dad made the stuffed animal look like it was moving.
I heard a yawn then dad got up still holding me and sat on mom's bed.
He then handed me over to her,she smelt of mom.
I nested in her arms and yawned.
A little bit later the guy in the white lab coat took me from mom and dad.
I wanted to cry but for some reason I didn't.
White lab coat guy examined me, some of it was a little scary.
But soon enough I fell asleep,I was really tired.
I woke up crying I was hungry I haven't ate since being born.
Dad tried calming me, I wasn't having any of it I was hungry!
Finally mom called us over and he gave me to her.
After I ate mom burped me then started to sing to me.
I really like her voice it was soothing.
I started to feel sleepy again,I slowly closed my eyes in the safety of mother's arms.

Jason's P.OV.

I sat by my wife on the bed and put my arm around her , she laid back against me while holding our son.
We sat like that for a while,when I noticed she fell asleep too.
I gently took Junior from her and sat back in the rocking chair.
He slept with a little smile on his round little baby face.
Around one in the morning Junior started crying again.
I tried quieting him,I gently patted his back while rocking him back and forth in the chair.
He was crying so hard it sounded like he couldn't breath.
About that time the doctor came in and took him from me.
Amy must of been out of it because she slept through the whole thing.
