Iman

It's been awhile since Justin confessed and left my room and I still couldn't sleep. There was honestly no way I could have. Especially with everything he's said to me in the past few hours...

I layed alone for what seemed like hours. Everything he said was what he felt; everything he said was the truth. I took in several breaths as I processed everything.

Should I give Justin another chance?

It was so hard to think of my next move..I remember him at the court telling me that I would just run back to him like I always did. We've been divorced for 4 months now and I'm still not back with him.

What I really had to think about was what the impact would be if I were to give him a chance to redeem himself. He seemed pretty sincere...I didn't fully trust him yet, but what he confessed to me and told me tonight was proof that he's owned up to his mistakes.

Which is what I really wanted.

Giving him another chance seemed really hard for me. Especially because he's blown so many of them that I have given. But everyone deserves chances..including ones who were complete assholes.

Everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves. That's one of the things my Dad told me.

My thoughts still wouldn't leave my head. I just needed to go to the source. I couldn't continue to think about this with no ending.

I needed to talk to Justin.

Getting off the bed, I slipped on my fluffy slippers and left the room.

Turning a corner, I made my way to the King's bedroom. Of course I ran into a guard on the way.

A familiar one at that. His name was Collins and I remembered him because he'd often patrol the hallways  and bedroom chambers.

"My lady, what is it that you need?" A middle aged guard bowed to me.

"I need to speak to the King." I told him and bit my lip afterwards.

The guard looked up. "I'm afraid he's asleep by now."

I highly doubt that. Knowing Justin, he was probably thinking about what he had said to me.

"Please just inform him I am here." I pleaded.

He reluctantly nodded his head.

The guard knocked a couple times and there was silence for a brief moment. "What is it? Don't you know I'm sleeping?" Was Justin's response.
