"Good morning." A voice greets, making Rick's eyes flutter open (only to close once again as the bright light blinds). Moving to a seated position on the edge of the bed, his feet firmly planted on the cold cement below him, Rick's hand ghosts over the sheets only to find them empty.

"She's out in the yard." The gruff voice comments. Rick looks up to see Daryl leaning against the doorway.

Nodding once, Rick thanks him before standing up and stretching out his muscles which seem to have gotten stiff through the night (most likely due to the cold air which is constantly drifting through the small cell). Just as the brunette was about to head outside, Daryl grabbed his wrist making the older stop in his tracks.

"It's Selena. She's come back from a run and she's injured herself. Hershel's already taken a look at her and he said it's pretty bad."

At Daryl's concern, Rick sighs but reluctantly nods his head. "I'll just get Ali and then we'll come to talk to her."

The archer nodded once before going on his way. Rick soon followed suit, making his way outside and into the morning sun. Around him, the group was already at work with their daily tasks: Maggie and Glenn killing a few walkers which had gathered on the fence; Ali taking care of Carl and Judith, keeping them entertained with the little amount of toys they have; Michonne and Beth tending to a few plants which had survived despite the lack of preening.

Slowly, Rick began to make his way over to Ali and sat himself besides her with a heavy thud. At his presence, a smile began to grow on the women's face as she turned to look at him. "Morning. Did you sleep well?"

Rick watched as Judith made her way over to sit on Ali's lap, giggling as the older began to gently tickle her sides. "Yeah. Did you?"

"Of course!" Ali exclaimed, her words laced with sarcasm. "I love being kept awake at all hours of the night due to the dead guys outside. Oh and don't get me started on the snoring I can hear coming from a few cells down. Honestly, can my sleep get any more peaceful?"

Rick breathed out a laugh as he gently placed a kiss to her shoulder. He took the moment to appreciate sitting in the warmth without having to be on alert for danger which may be surrounding them. However, Daryl's words came back to his mind. "We need to go and see Selena."

Ali raised an eyebrow, encouraging him to carry on.

"She's injured herself pretty bad apparently on a run this morning. Hershel's worried."

She just nodded her head in understand, gently passing Judith to Carl. "I guess we should go and make sure she's okay then."

Without another word shared between them, the two adults stood themselves up before making their way back inside of the prison. It wasn't long before they stumbled upon an empty cell where Hershel was busy inspecting a nasty looking cut running across Selena's forearm.

Immediately, Ali knew that it was serious due to it being deep and the risk of infection being high (thanks to the lack of medical supplies they currently had in their inventory).

Making her way inside, Ali immediately took a seat besides Hershel, beginning to inspect the wound closer up. This was just another occasion where the group was thankful they had Hershel and Ali who both had experience in the medical field.

"Hey guys." Selena chuckled but winced soon winced in pain when Ali lifted her arm to get a better view.

Rick moved to stand besides Daryl who's eyes didn't move from Selena. "Who was it?"

Ali shot him a look; obviously not finding this the right time to ask such a question when they weren't even fully aware of the extent her the girl's injuries. However, Selena didn't seem fazed and turned to look at the leader before her. "He calls himself 'The Governor'."
