I decided to write this small author's note (nearly five years since the original version of Alone was published) to take this moment to warn you.
This book was written at the height of my The Walking Dead phase at, approximately, the age of 12/13. I am now 18. Therefore, although this book has been rewritten once before, I am warning you that the overall structure, writing style and narrative can still be extremely embarrassing at times and may be rather confusing to follow. I sincerely hope this is not the case but I thought it would be best to warn future readers just in case.
Having said that, I have chosen to leave this book published and accessible because it is still being read and shared by users on here (and hopefully enjoyed). I am also still proud of the enthusiasm and time I put into this story so would like it to remain accessible almost as a high-five to my younger self for my dedication to this story. It also gives me something to laugh at/reflect on to see how far I've improved as a writer!
So, I hope those of you who are willing to give this book a try enjoy it and are doing well. This also goes for any of my returning readers who have seen this update.
