Chapter 23: A Bloody Cupcake?

Alice went to the Japanese-styled garden to have a stroll. She hates the noise in the meeting room, so she decided to have fresh air. Alice adjusts her glasses and spots an elegant table and chair. "Perfect! I have found a bloody spot to sit. Oh? A cupcake?" she said to herself. There was a cupcake on the table. It was a red one. The red cupcake had pink icing with blue and yellow toppings. "Hm.. I wonder who made this. Ah! A note." she thought. She picked up the note that was leaning at the cupcake. What was written was:
Roses are red, violets are blue, for this cupcake is a rose for a pretty poppet!

" "Kirkland"? That surname was shared at me and Arthur, but who is another "Kirkland"? Oh, well...." she asked herself. She ate the cupcake and began to feel dizzy. She fell down and was unconscious. Her glasses fell from her eyes and was picked up by a man with a smile. "Ha! The poppet ate it! Finally, we have another hostage! I wonder how will they react to her being missing~" the man said. The man was none other than Oliver Kirkland. He knew that he fooled the Axis just to help a stupid Japanese. He will know when they will strike. He sneaks back in the bushes and carried Alice's unconscious body. Meanwhile, Arthur picks up a sampaguita flower and smells it. "No wonder why this was the national flower of the Philippines.." he whispered. He walked through the door and saw Maria. He gave the sampaguita to her. "Good luck on your hardest mission, love." he encouraged. Maria was in shock to see Arthur in front of her. "A-Arthur-san? W-What are you doing here? I-I thought you were dead!" Maria exclaimed. Arthur smiled at her and said in a sweet voice, "Watashi wa anata o aishitememasu." Maria was shaking for a second and hugged him. "How can Arthur-san say that he loves me? I killed him!" Maria thought. Arthur signaled Alfred to explain. "Me and Arthur are still dead, Maria. But we can still come here and be a human." Maria stopped shaking and takes the sampaguita. "Arigato gozaimasu, Arthur-san, soshite Alfred-kun." Her cheeks flushed a little bit. Until the three heard Feliciano screams. "ALICE IS GONE!!" They turned around and ran to where Feliciano is. "I knew it. The 2ps got her!"
