Passing of Eros

Gone like the wind;
Whereas it cannot be missed
All that left, is the breeze
Building up into a stormfront
Eros and Thanatos clashing in mid-air
The lust to kill -- or the lust to love
Amidst the cheering of Greeks and Romans alike
The last battle, it seems
Between two forces of war and death
Lo and behold
Death and Love warring front
Shrouded by Nyx; lady Night herself
Ichor flooding the battleground
And as Love lies dying
Cradled in the hands of Death
He sang a hymn of befuddled brains
That one day will see
What Love is; another aspect of Death
And what Death is; another aspect of Love
Both equally deafening
Both who dislikes of being taken granted of
And at that time passes; no more to be seen

You lost what was once yours. And trust me. It's not coming back, for better or worse.
