Swan Song

Ever since that day
When I saw you went away
Heart beating slow along the way
Without a single word to say
As magnolias wilted to hay
While my eyes slowly shut from the last ray

Break upon my grave and cry
But thou hast been warned
Someday yes, I might die
The last sonner will sound
Read the words that will never lie
Taken away by hell's hound

So long, and miss me not
Tell my mama and papa I love them so
Whilst these hands turn black and blue
And my tanned skin turn pale white
Drip, drip, drip; blood red notes written on the floor
Forming a set that rung of pain and anguish

Let it be the last swan song
That rings with silent screams
So that people will know how
Pain changes one's life.
