I am a lost boy
Stuck around the time when
Life's most complicated decisions are --
Whether to stay playing till 7
Faking fever to not go to school
Or jumping over lava in the living room

I am a lost boy
Stuck around the time when
I love you is the sweetest thing
That daddy told mama during dinner
And ewws that I gave when daddy kissed mama before work
Is because I'm jealous how love is unconditional

I am a lost boy
Stuck around the time when
I love you is the sincerest thing to say
Nothing stands between me and you
Except for the time to sleep
And when my phone battery's bleak

I am a lost boy
Stuck around the time when
Nothing is sweeter than a kiss on the cheeks
And the chocolate cookies that I sneaked
That smile that I dearly miss
Telling me monsters under the bed aren't real

I am a lost boy
Stuck around the time when
I slept at the couch; woke up on my bed
With a goodnight kiss lingering on my rosy lips

I am a lost boy
Lost as a blind kitten looking for its mom.
